The housing can comprise polyetherimide, which has very good heat dissipation properties. The shroud may also comprise polyetherimide. The compact luminaire enclosure of the invention further comprises an internal thermal lamp shield recessed within the housing. The internal thermal lamp shield comprises highly specular material so that it is able to reflect much of the heat coming from an enclosed luminaire. In one embodiment of the invention, the luminaire comprises anodized aluminum.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a stationery holder includes a base having an upper portion, which defines first and second compartments for respectively receiving a roll of adhesive tape and a pen and a card receptacle between the compartments, and a lower portion, which forms a battery chamber for receiving and retaining a battery. An illuminator is mounted in the first compartment and is electrically connected to the battery by a switching device arranged in the receptacle. The switching device includes a fixed conductive contact and a deformable conductive plate that has a spring section engaging a sidewall of the receptacle and floatingly supporting a switching section that is spaced from the contact for a small distance. When a card is inserted between the sidewall and the conductive plate, the spring section deforms and moves the switching section to physically engage the contact thereby forming a closed electrical loop among the illuminator, the battery, and the switching device for powering the illuminator.

    Abstract: An emergency flashlight has a flashlight body, and a holder supporting the body. The body includes a receiving section that stores small batteries, an electric lighting section, and a lower covering section. The holder includes a holder body section fixed to a structure such as a wall, a support section extending from the holder body section, and a protecting section horizontally extending from the holder body section. A cap is pivotally supported by opposite ends of the support section through a hinge shaft. A transverse through slot is formed on the receiving section included in the flashlight body. A partition plate is placed on the support section of the holder in a location corresponding to the through slot, wherein the partition plate separates the battery circuit when the flashlight body is placed in the holder.
