Thus, the manufacturing cost and the power consumption of the LCD device can be reduced.

The LEDs 28 and the legs 31a, 31b and 31c are passed through the respective through holes 27 of the reflection sheet 26. The reflection sheet 26 includes projections 26a, 26b and 26c projecting inward from an edge of the corresponding through hole 27.
