  • Publication number: 20130215704
Abstract: A gas mixer has at least two mass flow controllers which can control the gas mass flow rate of a gas line. A control unit is connected to the mass flow controllers to control the gas mass flow rate through each of the gas lines. Each mass flow controller has a volume counter, and the control unit is provided with a volume signal for each gas line. A method of controlling a gas mixer is provided in which a target value for the gas mass flow rate is predefined for a plurality of mass flow controllers each associated with a gas line. The ratio of the volumes that have flowed through the mass flow controllers up to now of the gases to be mixed are taken into account in determining the target values for the gas mass flow rate.

  • Patent number: 7874718
Abstract: A system, device, and method for mixing liquids involves pumping a first liquid into a first pump chamber of a pumping apparatus through a channel of the pumping apparatus and pumping a second liquid from a second pump chamber of the pumping apparatus into either the channel or the first pump chamber, preferably while the first liquid is being pumped into the first pump chamber, so that the two liquids are mixed within the pumping apparatus. The second liquid is preferably pumped in a pulsatile mode in which small quantities of the second liquid are pumped at intervals. The quantity and/or the interval can be dynamically adjusted to result in a predetermined concentration of the two liquids. The contents of the first pump chamber are pumped to a receptacle.

  • Publication number: 20100208543
Abstract: A micromixer 100 includes a mixing chamber 1 in which a liquid plug A6 is introduced, and a fluid channel section 2 in which a liquid plug B7 is flowed. The fluid channel section 2 is connected to the mixing chamber 1. The micromixer 100 causes the liquid plug B7 that flows inside the fluid channel section 2 to accelerate in a direction towards the mixing chamber 1 and to flow into the mixing chamber 1, so that the liquid plug B7 comes in contact with the liquid plug A6. This allows efficient stirring and mixing of the liquid plug A6 and liquid plug B7.

Abstract: A dosing system for loose compressible material having heterogeneous granulometry and/or density and outputting the material though a main outlet is disclosed. The dosing system comprises a receiving structure for receiving the material to be dosed. A homogenizing system closes the receiving structure outlet and normalizes the material. A first conveying system acts as a base for the receiving structure, and transports the material towards the homogenizing system. A leveling adjustment system downstream of the homogenizing system levels the homogenized material. A second conveying system receives material from the homogenizing system and transports the material beyond the leveling adjustment system towards the main outlet. The homogenizing system, the leveling adjustment system and the second conveying system define a transition volume in which the material travels between the homogenizing system and the second conveying system. A method for dosing such a material is also disclosed.
