Electric Motor Patents (Class 366/251)
  • Patent number: 9694331
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mixer with a mixing container and a tool shaft (8) which is arranged at least partly in the mixing container and has a drive end and a working end for a working tool (6), the tool shaft (8) being mounted on the drive end by means of two mutually set-apart tool bearings and a drive motor (7) being provided for the tool shaft (8). In order to provide a mixer which is simple and economical to manufacture and has as few movable and wearing parts as possible and the tool shaft (8) of which is, in addition, able to accommodate the considerable transverse forces occurring during operation, the invention proposes that the drive motor (7) have a motor shaft which is mounted, at least on one side, by a tool bearing.

  • Patent number: 9427713
Abstract: Mixing, stirring or dispersing method using a corresponding apparatus (1) with a housing (2) and a container (3). The container (3) has a mixing chamber (4), into which mixing chamber (4) a rod-like element (6) projects. At the entrance into the mixing chamber (4), this rod-like element (6) is connected to a membrane (8), which membrane (8) is part of a wall (9) of the container (3). In order to process the contents of the mixing chamber (4), the rod-like element (6) is made to move, together with the membrane (8), by a drive (7). In order to avoid unintentional failure of the membrane (8), within the context of the method, the number of revolutions of the drive (7) is counted and the drive is switched off upon reaching a maximum number of revolutions permitted for the loading capability of the membrane (8) and the resulting number of load variations.

Abstract: A blender base that may be used with a food processor container, a blender container, and a single use beverage container. The blender container includes a novel blade unit having a food processor-style blade and blender type blades. Programs with preprogrammed motor commands for desired operations are stored in memory and may be selected by a user on a user interface. The user interface may include a liquid crystal display, or function switches and light emitting diodes. Upon selection of a particular pre-defined function, the microcontroller retrieves the appropriate program from the read only memory and specifies the preprogrammed motor commands to accomplish the selected function.

  • Patent number: 6447157
Abstract: Disclosed is an agitator assembly which comprises an agitator and means for mounting the agitator assembly on top of a tank. The agitator comprises a shaft, a propeller fixed to one end of the shaft, and means for rotating the shaft to provide an axial discharge from the propeller of at least 4.0 m/sec with a flow equivalent of at least 0.2 tank volumes/minute. The agitator is mounted on top of the tank so that the shaft enters the tank at an angle a to the longitudinal axis of the tank of between about 30 and about 60 degrees and at an angle &bgr; to the transverse vertical axis of the tank of less than about 50 degrees. Also disclosed is a method of shipping solids that are soluble in a solvent. The solids are placed in a tank on which the agitator assembly has been mounted. The quantity of solids placed in the tank exceeds the amount that will dissolve when the tank is filled with the solvent. The tank is transported to the location where the solids are to be removed from the tank.

Abstract: A kitchen appliance for preparing yogurt, soft frozen yogurt and ice cream, hard frozen yogurt and ice cream, and cheese. The appliance includes a housing having a base and side walls defining an open top. A motor-driven paddle device is rotationally journaled with respect to the cover and base and the motor therefor is adapted to be driven either continuously or with a predetermined duty cycle, dependent upon the product being made. Also mounted on either the cover or the base is a vent hole occluder that is normally positioned to block the vent holes in the cover or base, but which shifts to a second position uncovering those vent holes when the consistency of the product being produced, as tested by the paddle motion or other apparatus reveals that a predetermined cultured state has been reached. Shifting of the occluding device from the covering position to the open position also actuates a switch to shut off the drive motor and a warming element.

  • Patent number: 6186056
Abstract: A machine tool for processing products, such as food products. The tool includes a tube-envelope (2) fixed to the tool with a cage (6) at one end of the tube-envelope. In one embodiment of the invention, the tube-envelope and the cage are formed as two separate parts. The cage (6) receives a product processing unit (7). The product processing unit (7) is, for example, a blade, which is driven by a shaft (9) releasably coupled to a drive shaft (12) of the machine. The shaft (9) is guided and centered in the tool. The shaft is sealed in the machine with, for example, a ring, and the ring can be screwed into the tube-envelope, or secured to the machine by bayonets. The ring is formed so that it is removable with a tool. This allows for the shaft (9) and processing unit (7) to be demounted from the tool for maintenance.
