Element Mounted On Cylindrical Mixing Chamber Wall Patents (Class 366/307)
  • Patent number: 11679365
Abstract: A rotary machine for acting on a process fluid includes an impeller, a shaft, a drive, a seal and a flush casing. The impeller acts on the process fluid and is mounted on the shaft. The drive is connected to the shaft and rotates the shaft and the impeller about an axial direction. The seal has a sealing element sealing the shaft during rotation of the shaft. The flush casing receives a flushing fluid for flushing the sealing element, and delimits an annular flush chamber extending about the sealing element. The flush casing includes a bushing surrounding the sealing element and delimits a radial leakage gap arranged between the sealing element and the bushing. The bushing delimits an axial leakage gap between the impeller and the bushing, and the width of the axial leakage gap in the axial direction is adjustable.

Abstract: A control method for improving forming and 3D precise printing performance of a thawed surimi system relates to the field of 3D printing food material preparation technologies. In the present invention, steps including thawing, mixing, grinding, performing, printing, setting, and cooking are performed on frozen surimi. A thawed surimi gel system of the present invention can reduce the printing temperature, and increase the discharging rate and the three-dimensional forming rate. In the present invention, an acid-induced surimi gel is formed by adding linseed gum and glucolactone, and the surimi gel has stable viscosity and fluidity. The surimi slurry is minced and does not easily cause blockage, and discharging is smooth. By means of 3D precise printing technology, the surimi gel system of the present invention may be made into a cold dish of fish product that retains original properties and taste of the surimi product.

Abstract: Examples of system for generating vortex cavity are disclosed. The system comprises a vessel into which a fluid is injected through one or more inlet ports and a fluid circulating system configured to circulate the fluid through the vessel such that the fluid is removed from the vessel through an outlet port and is returned back into the vessel through the one and more inlet ports. A first spinner is mounted at one wall of the vessel while a second spinner is mounted at the opposite wall of the vessel such that the second spinner is at some distance away from the first spinner and it faces the first spinner. When the fluid circulating system starts circulating the fluid within the vessel a vortex cavity is formed that extends between the first and the second spinners so that one end of the vortex cavity sits on the first spinner while the opposite end of the vortex cavity sits on the second spinner.

  • Patent number: 7918601
Abstract: A blender jar defines a geometry to impart vertical movement to material being processed in the blender jar, and, alternatively or in combination, improves the horizontal movement to the blended material. By configuring one or more agitators on the floor of a jar, laminar flow or symmetric flow of material around the jar is disrupted. The material is forced in an upward direction in the jar and, therefore, into more frequent contact with the cutter blades rotating in the jar. A dispensing blender jar includes a hole in the jar wall that leads to a dispensing spout. The hole is positioned, at least in part, on the leading edge of a vertical bump in the sidewall of the jar.

The stirring member (4) is formed in such a way that the stirrer (3) can be introduced into the stirring vessel (1) by at least one axial or translatory relative movement of the stiffer (3) in relation to the stirring vessel (1), at least one subsequent or simultaneous relative rotation of the stirrer (3) in relation to the stirring vessel (1) and a further axial or translatory relative movement of the stirrer (3) in relation to the stirring vessel (1). In this case it is possible in the operating state for the stirrer (3) to be rotated in the stirring vessel (1). Furthermore the stirring vessel (1) comprises at least two buffles (2) extending from the inner cirumferential surface (10) stirring system and method for homogenizing glass melts.

  • Publication number: 20090238033
Abstract: An apparatus and method for mixing a liquid having particulate includes a vessel for containing the liquid and an axial impeller rotating about a substantially vertical axis. The impeller is adapted for submerging below the liquid surface by a distance approximately one-quarter to one-half of the height of the liquid. The impeller is oriented upwardly to produce (a) an inner, upward flow region located along the vertical axis of the vessel, (b) a transition flow region above the impeller in which liquid moves radially outwardly toward the vessel sidewall, and (c) an outer, downward flow region located along the sidewall. The impeller spins at a variable speed, such that the flow is capable of entraining solid particles having a settling velocity of up to approximately 1 foot per minute in the liquid, and the speed of the impeller is chosen to enable particles having a desired settling velocity to settle to the vessel bottom.
