Patent number: 6967904Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic watch for sports apparatus in which the international standard weight and heartbeat reference data are saved. After input of personal data of the body weight and height, the microprocessor will calculate the difference between the real body weight and the corresponding standard weight. Thereafter, the built-in program decides an optimal exercise mode in accordance with the weight difference. Then, the exerciser is activated to execute the result. In addition, the age and the sex can be given in order for the microprocessor to calculate an optimal exercise heartbeat range in taking the international standard weight and heartbeat reference data and the difference between the real body weight and the corresponding standard weight into account. Thereafter, the built-in program decides an optimal exercise mode in accordance with the optimal exercise heartbeat range. Then, the exerciser is activated to execute the result.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2002Date of Patent: November 22, 2005Inventors: Peter Wu, Leao Wang

Publication number: 20040252613Abstract: An image information detecting cassette accommodating an image information detecting section capable of reducing its power consumption when not used. When the handle of the cassette is gripped by the operator for carrying, the handle grip signal is outputted from the handle grip detecting section. If the readout signal from the scan/readout section, X-ray ready signal from the external system controller, and release signal from the release switch are not outputted, that is, when the cassette is carried and not used, it is determined to be the out-of-use state by the out-of-use determining means. The low power consumption mode is set by the control section, and the power supply to the image information detecting section, reading light emitting section, detecting section driving section, nonvolatile memory, X-ray buzzer, and matrix indicator is discontinued by the power supply suppressing section.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2004Publication date: December 16, 2004Applicant: FUJI PHOTO FILM CO., LTD.Inventor: Naoto Iwakiri

Patent number: 5321671Abstract: Occurrence of mechanical noise and tape damage due to operation of a pinch roller is avoided when the system is switched from the tape playback mode to the radio mode or vice versa. On playback of the tape, an interrupt signal 33 from a microcomputer 34 is low. Transistors 28 and 13 are thus turned on. A drive motor 14 in the tape deck 11 is energized by power from a (+B) terminal 45. When the cassette tape is loaded into the tape deck, a plunger 15 is energized directly by power from a (TAPE+B) terminal 12. Thus, a pinch roller 41 in a head drive mechanism 16 is brought into contact with the tape 43. If the microcomputer 34 detects any interrupt signal such as traffic or emergency information signals multiplexed with FM broadcasting waves, it changes the interrupt signal to high so that the transistors 28 and 13 are turned off. Therefore, the drive motor 14 is de-energized, but the power continues to be supplied to the plunger 15.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 1992Date of Patent: June 14, 1994Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Shigehiro Yoshida

Patent number: 5307327Abstract: Most motor vehicles contain an audio such as a radio, cassette player or compact disc player. A housing generally having a box-like shape and an open end surround the actual hardware. A cover fits over the open end of the housing. The present invention provides a positive means for attaching and holding the front cover to the housing. A lip section of the cover is tightly held between upper and lower tabs integral with the housing. The interference fit created by the tabs tends to reduce the possibility of annoying rattling or buzzing sounds during vehicle operation due to a loose fit of the cover onto the housing.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 1992Date of Patent: April 26, 1994Assignee: Chrysler CorporationInventors: Dewayne E. Patent number: 5130961Abstract: An audio apparatus incorporating a CD player or a cassette tape deck and a radio receiver as integral audio components, includes a photosensor; a means for detecting an operating state of each audio source; and a drive mode switching means for automatically changing the photosensor to a continuous active mode or to an intermittent active mode according to a detection output of the source detecting means. When the CD or cassette tape is inserted, the active source is automatically switched to the corresponding CD player or cassette tape deck. Further, the photosensor is placed in the continuous active mode to eliminate noise generation when a source other than the CD or cassette tape is in operation. It is switched to the intermittent active mode to reduce power consumption when none of the sources is in operation.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1990Date of Patent: July 14, 1992Assignee: Pioneer Electronic CorporationInventors: Akio Namiki, Teruo Takahashi
