Abstract: An extendable electronic stylus is described. The extendable electronic stylus has a distal end that provides an electronic input to an electronic device and a first cam with an elongated member that extends between a proximal end of the stylus and its distal end. The stylus also includes a second cam that rotates relative to the first cam when the proximal end of the stylus is pushed in a distal direction. The pushing of the proximal end of the stylus causes a surface of the second cam to contact the first cam surface. The stylus also includes a cover with a first look surface. The rotation of the second cam relative to the first cam cause a second lock surface of the second cam to abut the first lock surface, thereby locking the second cam in a fixed position relative to the first cam.

Abstract: A height adjusting device for a tone arm includes a stationary outer annular base, an inner annular base fitted rotatably but not moving up or down in the outer annular base, and a seat having the bottom fitted in the inner annular base and a tone arm fixed on the seat. The inner annular base has some sloped slots in the vertical wall. The sloped slots slopes in the same direction. The seat has projections on the vertical wall to fit and move in the sloped slots of the inner annular base. Then the inner annular base is manually rotated by a connector protruding out of a long slot of the outer annular base, causing said seat with the tone arm moved up or down by the projections moving back or forth in the sloped slots.
Abstract: The present invention provides a large-capacity stack type optical disk unit capable of information recording and reproducing operation at a high speed and an optical information recording and reproducing apparatus for recording/reproducing information onto/from the stack type optical disk unit. The optical information recording and reproducing apparatus comprises a stack type optical disk unit having N recording faces, the sector starting position on the respective recording faces are displaced by a sector as unit from one face to another, one stationary optical units including a laser light source, a collimator, a reflector and a detector for a reflected beam from the recording faces, N sets of focusing units each for focusing a collimated beam onto respective recording faces, a beam distribution unit for distributing the collimated beam to the focusing units, and a servo unit for focussing outputs from the focusing units onto tracks of the recording faces and for performing tracking.

Abstract: A disk player includes a player housing. A turntable and a plurality of trays in which corresponding disks are detachably placed are disposed in the player housing. The trays are juxtaposed in such a manner that the surfaces of the trays are substantially in parallel with the disk bearing surface of the turntable. The disk player further includes a circular gear section for moving the plurality of trays to a playing position, a waiting position, and an ejecting position; and a drive section for rotating the circular gear section. Further, a circular cam mechanism is engaged with the circular gear so as to be turned thereby, the circular cam mechanism having cam section for moving a pickup section vertically in accordance with the position of the disk at the playing position.
