Patent number: 9299326Abstract: A tremolo assembly for either a left handed as well as a right handed stringed instrument that sits wholly on top of the instrument. The tremolo assembly consists of in addition to the base mounting plate, an adjustable spring tension block, extension springs, a string anchor bar, a cross member attachment bar, eyebolts, hex nuts, flat head machine screws, shoulder screws, flat washers, set screws, adhesive backed felt, and a tremolo arm. The assembly pivots back and forth in relation to the base mounting plate. The extension springs and the adjustable spring anchor/tension block, hold the strings in a neutral (tuned) position. When the tremolo arm is pressed towards the instrument, the tension is decreased evenly across the plurality of strings. And when the tremolo arm is lifted away from the instrument, the tension is increased evenly across the plurality of strings.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2015Date of Patent: March 29, 2016Inventor: Brian A. Patent number: 7352679Abstract: A pickup drive unit is provided including at least a rack portion provided thereon with gear teeth to be engaged with grooves of a lead screw; a plate-shaped connecting portion made of a flexible material for connecting the rack portion to a fixing portion tightened to a pickup and for supporting the rack portion in a cantilever fashion to be deformable in a direction of either bringing close to, or removing from, the lead screw; and a compressed coil spring for applying a force pressing the rack portion against the lead screw; in which the distance on the plate-shaped connecting portion from an end on the side of the fixing portion to the contact portion between the gear teeth and the lead screw is made smaller than the distance from an end on the side of said fixing portion to another end on the side of the rack portion.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2002Date of Patent: April 1, 2008Assignee: Ricoh Company, Ltd.Inventor: Takehide Ohno

Publication number: 20040246880Abstract: The disk apparatus includes a clamp mechanism having a first adsorbent and a second adsorbent that suck each other due to a magnetic force. When a lift of a cam mechanism makes a lowering operation, the second adsorbent is pulled down and separated away from the first adsorbent. An upper inclined face and a lower inclined face of a cam body have different slopes. A cam projection provided on the lift is disposed between two inclined faces. When the cam projection is lowered to an intermediate position on the upper inclined face, the second adsorbent descends to a position where a suction force between the first and second adsorbents disappears.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 21, 2004Publication date: December 9, 2004Applicant: Funai Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Tetsuya Tamura

Patent number: 5105419Abstract: A carriage assembly has a carriage provided on both sides with voice coils, a magnet assembly surrounding the voice coils and adapted for causing the carriage to move in the radial direction of a disk, and guide rails for guiding the carriage in the radial direction of the disk. The carriage is provided on a lower portion thereof with first rollers for engagement with the guide rails and at its upper portion thereof with second rollers which co-operate with a biasing members in preventing the carriage from moving upward. Either the guide rails or the first rollers are provided with grooves which prevent the first rollers from moving in the tangential directions of the guide rails. Since the movement of the first rollers in the tangential directions of the guide rail is prevented, it is possible to locate the carriage with a high degree of precision with respect to the disk.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1990Date of Patent: April 14, 1992Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Manabu Ogura, Takashi Yumura, Tetsu Yamamoto

Patent number: 4260858Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a system for storing and reproducing analog or digital information, such as television information. There is provided a recording disk having a mechanical guiding track formed in a spiral or circular pattern on a surface thereof.A signal recovery device is provided and includes mechanical tracking means to effect guiding along the mechanical guiding track of the disk. The signal recovery subsystem also includes an optical scanning means for scanning the optical records. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the signal recovery device includes mechanical driving means, synchronized with the optical scanning means, for engaging the guiding track and causing motion of the disk with respect to the signal recovery device. The disk is preferably mounted on a passive turntable, and rotation of the disk and turntable is achieved by the mechanical driving means of the signal recovery device acting directly on the disk.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1978Date of Patent: April 7, 1981Inventor: Leo Beiser
