  • Patent number: 6614732
Abstract: A recording/reproducing apparatus comprises a program data reading-out device, a classification information storage device, a program data storage device and a controlling device. The program data reading-out device reads out program data from a recording medium. The program data and identification information for identifying the program data are recorded on the medium. The classification information storage device previously holds classification information for classifying the program data in association with the identification information. In the program data storage device, the program data can be written in and read out.

Abstract: When the recording capacity of a DVD RAM 1001 is running short, recording onto a hard disk is started. In this case, overlap period recording information is recorded onto both of the DVD-RAM and the hard disk as information for a concatenating part. In playback management information for each of the DVD-RAM and the hard disk, entry point information is recorded so that the overlap period recording information can be skipped.

Abstract: In an apparatus for recording continuous information of sound or the like, when a disk device generating a seek sound is used as recording means, such state is prevented that seek sound is mixed as noise and is recorded. In an input processing system of an audio signal in an apparatus for performing sound recording to storage means generating seek noise of the disk or the like, cut-off period 203 is provided by the period when the seek noise 201 is generated, and mixing of the seek noise 201 in the audio signal is prevented, and at the same time, the audio signal during the cut-off period 203 is interpolated by other means or the seek noise level previously set is subtracted.

Abstract: The disclosure is to learn a periodic disturbance along with the disk rotation and to improve track-following accuracy. The disk apparatus comprises a head, apositional signal detection section respect to the track of the medium, a feedback control section which computes a control signal for moving the head from the positional signal by a position signal detector, and a learning control section which obtains an unknown function for one disk rotation along with the periodic disturbance to the memory which is comprised of N number of memory cells by a learning algorithm as an approximate function which is approximated by the height of each block. The learning control section reads the learning result of the two memory cells at locations which are moved forward for a predetermined amount of time, and interpolates the results so as to generate the periodic disturbance compensation signal.

Abstract: When setting a recording power for use in recording optical information on a DVD-R, by using any one of sectors provided on the DVD-R as a PCA, whether a predetermined special detected signal is detected or not in the sectors is checked (Step S2), a non-used sector where no special detected signal is detected, of the sectors, is retrieved, based on the check result (Step S3), a mark signal for obtaining the special detected signal is recorded in the retrieved non-used sector (Step S5), a setting signal for setting a recording power is recorded in the non-used sector excluding the area where at least the mark signal is recorded (Step S6), and the recorded setting signal is optically detected to set the recording power (Step S13).
