Chucking Mechanism Patents (Class 369/30.95)
  • Patent number: 9489975
Abstract: An optical disk device which quickly detects that a transparent disk is loaded is provided. When an optical disk is loaded, a drive controller of an optical disk device drives a spindle motor and checks existence of an optical disk based on a driving result. In addition, the drive controller drives an optical pickup to apply a focus control, to detect whether or not focusing is possible. When it is determined from the driving result that there is an optical disk and that focus is not possible, the drive controller judges that the optical disk (D) is a transparent disk.

  • Patent number: 6728169
Abstract: If a disk tray, i.e., a rotary tray, is undulated, it is impossible to stabilize a rotating torque of the disk tray, thus causing unevenness in rotation of the tray. A rotary tray is supported from below at a peripheral edge portion of its lower surface by means of rollers which are arranged at equal intervals on a circumference centered at a support shaft, and with a biasing force of a spring, the rotary tray is pressed toward an upper surface of a slide tray, so that the rotary tray is installed warpedly in a downwardly convex shape as a whole. Consequently, undulation of the rotary tray which occurred at the time of resin molding is eliminated and the rotary tray comes into uniform abutment against the rollers, whereby it becomes possible to stabilize the rotating torque of the rotary tray and eliminate unevenness in rotation of the rotary tray.

Abstract: A disk table rotation supporting structure includes a tray having an inner wall surface that stands upward, a bottom surface provided on an inside, a central axis portion that stands upward on a center portion of the bottom surface, and a receiving portion disposed around the central axis portion, and a disk table having a large circular-ring supporting rib provided downward in neighborhood of the inner wall surface, a central through hole portion opened in a center portion and into which the central axis portion of the tray is inserted, and a small circular-ring rib extended downward from a periphery of the central through hole portion. Only the large circular-ring supporting rib is supported rotatably on the bottom surface of the tray via a lubricating member, and the disk table is rotated in this situation.

  • Patent number: 6618332
Abstract: A carousel type changer includes a disk reproducing section (a pickup 62 and so on) which is provided on a tray 21 and adapted to clamp a disk held on a disk holding part 34b and to reproduce the clamped disk, and a disk recording section (a pickup 52 and so on) which is provided separately from the tray 21, and adapted to clamp a disk held on a disk holding part 34a when the tray is in a storing position and to record, on the clamped disk, signals reproduced by the disk reproducing section. In a state where the disk recording section have clamped the disk 15, a rotary table 31 is allowed to rotate.

Abstract: A disk device has a slide tray, rotary tray and chucking mechanism. A motive gear attached to the slide tray has an engaging pin. On the rotary tray, a Geneva gear operating in cooperation with the engaging pin is provided. In a motive gear, a cam groove and a cam member for controlling ON and OFF of chucking operation are provided. In a device body, there are provided a rack for taking in and out and a guide groove. There are provided a central gear driven by motor and an idler gear meshed with the central gear. According to a rotation direction of the motor, the idler gear is selectively meshed with the motive gear or the rack.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disc drive apparatus including a rotation drive mechanism for driving or rotating an optical disc, which has a disc table onto which the optical disc is to be placed, and a motor for rotating the disc table, a clamp member for clamping the optical disc jointly with the disc table, the optical disc being placed on the disc table, and a hold mechanism for rotatably holding the clamp member, which causes the clamp member to shift toward the disc table with the axis of the clamp member being substantially parallel to the axis of the disc table when the clamp member clamps the optical disc jointly with the disc table, and causes-the clamp member to shift away from the disc table with the axis of the clamp member being inclined against the axis of the disc table when the clamp member releases the clamp state of the optical disc clamped by the clamp member and the disc table.

Abstract: When a disk tray stops beyond or before a predetermined rotational position, there has heretofore been a likelihood of the disk tray being unable to be inhibited its rotation. As an arm portion 261b is displaced counterclockwise, a shaft portion 262b of a rotary stopper 262 moves toward an engaging groove 223, so that a sharp portion 262a1 is inserted into the engaging groove 223. At this time, slant faces formed on both sides of the tip of the sharp portion are guided along slant faces of the engaging groove 223 and are inserted to an inner part of the engaging groove. Thus, even when a rotary tray 220 stops at a position deviated from the predetermined rotational position, it is possible to surely inhibit the rotation of the rotary tray 220.
