  • Patent number: 8079163
Abstract: A number of front working, trench filling face-compressing, inclinedly disposed sliders are arranged alternately with cutter bits on an endless chain of a trench-forming endless chain cutter on a transporting chassis, and driven with the chain by a drive means so that backward oriented, inclined facet portions of the sliders compress a filling in the trench toward and on a front working face of the wall being formed. An elongate, filling face-compressing shield is adapted to be extended down into the trench and supported with its underground portion on the underground portion of a guide post of the cutter or on the trench bottom for forward and backward oscillation by a drive means to compress the filling face adjacent to the shield. The compacted filling is in these ways being formed by horizontal pressure.

  • Patent number: 7658024
Abstract: A universal digging tooth attachment apparatus adapted to be secured to a forward edge of a bucket lip of an earth moving implement. The universal digging tooth attachment has a first element with an elongate section defining a first generally planar surface for abutting and engaging along the length thereof with one face of the bucket lip of the earth moving implement and a second element. The second element has an elongate section defining a second generally planar surface for abutting and engaging along the length thereof with the bucket lip of the earth moving implement directly opposite from the elongate section of the first element. One of the first and second elements has an earth engaging tooth projecting therefrom. A slip joint operably connects the first and second elements to each other to allow for adjustment of a distance between the first and second planar surfaces to accommodate attachment of the digging tooth to implements having bucket lips of differing thicknesses.

  • Patent number: 7159344
Abstract: A plow moldboard assembly having multiple ground engaging blades is provided with a plurality of elongate blade receiving slots having an open top and an open bottom and each defined by front and rear walls and two end walls disposed rearward of the rear major face of the moldboard and which extend along the bottom edge of the moldboard. A plurality of ground engaging blades are arranged in side-by-side relationship, each one having front and rear blade faces and upper and lower blade portions. The front face of the lower portion is forwardly offset relative to the front face of the upper rectangular portion such that the upper rectangular portion is received in the slot and held in position by detachable securing means. Damaged blades, which are relatively light in weight can be individually removed from the elongate slot and replaced with an undamaged blade. • Patent number: 6922924
Abstract: A plow moldboard cutting edge includes a cutting edge blade having a front (leading) face and a rear (trailing) face, with one or more receiving apertures defined therebetween. An elastic bushing is then provided in each of the receiving apertures of the cutting edge blade, with each bushing having a through hole defined therein. The cutting edge blade is then fastened to the lower edge of a plow moldboard by extending fasteners through cutting edge mounting holes defined in the plow moldboard adjacent its lower edge, and then into the through holes of the bushings. The fasteners secure the bushings to the plow moldboard, and thereby mount the cutting edge blade (which is situated about the elastic bushings) to the plow moldboard as well, with the elastic bushings elastically spacing the cutting edge blade from the fasteners.

  • Patent number: 5333696
Abstract: Reversible protectors are normally utilized to protect the leading edge of a work member from high wear during use. It is also advantageous to have a reversible protector that can be secured to a work member even though the work member may be composed of several components which are welded together thus adversely affecting the tolerances between the various components. In this subject arrangement, a reversible protector is provided and adapted to be mounted on and secured to a work member. The reversible protector has recesses located in the lower end thereof which, when assembled, are in mating engagement with protuberances on the work member. This mating engagement secures the lower end of the reversible protector to the work member. A pair of aligned openings are provided near the other end thereof which aligns with a transverse hole in the work member for receiving a retaining mechanism therethrough.
