Abstract: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for handling full-duplex interference. One method includes: obtaining an interference degree that is caused when a site device performs full-duplex transmission with at least two UEs; and determining, according to the interference degree, a UE allowed to transmit uplink and downlink signals on the same time and frequency resource among the at least two UEs. In embodiments of the present invention, a UE allowed to transmit uplink and downlink signals on the same time and frequency resource may be classified according to an interference degree that is caused when a site device performs full-duplex transmission with at least two UEs, thereby preventing the interference problem in the scenario of point-to-multipoint full-duplex communication as much as possible.

Abstract: In this wireless communication device, a storage unit stores writing identification information relating to permission and prohibition of writing. An acquisition unit acquires device identification information that uniquely specifies an arbitrary wireless communication device from the arbitrary wireless communication device. A determination unit determines permission or prohibition of writing to a recording medium on the basis of the device identification information acquired by the acquisition unit and the writing identification information stored in the storage unit when a communication protocol of a session layer that performs writing to and readout from the recording medium in sector units is selected. A recording medium control unit controls permission and prohibition of writing to the recording medium on the basis of a result determined by the determination unit.

Abstract: Messages transmitted between a receiver and a transmitter are used to maximize a communication data rate. In particular, a multicarrier modulation system uses messages that are sent from the receiver to the transmitter to exchange one or more sets of optimized communication parameters. The transmitter then stores these communication parameters and when transmitting to that particular receiver, the transmitter utilizes the stored parameters in an effort to maximize the data rate to that receiver. Likewise, when the receiver receives packets from that particular transmitter, the receiver can utilize the stored communication parameters for reception.

  • Patent number: 8923171
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatus for reducing UE's power consumption by controlling early decoding boundary. In one aspect, a UE is configured to receive a data or voice frame from a base station. The UE selects one or more quality metrics for determining decoding boundary of the received frame and computes the selected one or more quality metrics. The UE then determines a decoding boundary for the frame based on one or more computed quality metrics. The UE then decodes the received frames at the determined decoding boundary and determines whether the decoding of the frame was successful. If the early decoding of the frame was successful, the UE may terminate reception of the frame. If the early decoding of the frame was unsuccessful, the UE may adjust the decoding boundary and decodes the frame at the adjusted boundary.

Abstract: Embodiments of this invention describe a method to reduce the effective inter carrier spacing between the sub-carriers of wireless, wired or optical transmissions and thereby increase the spectral efficiency of the communication system. Signal transmitted from multiple transmit chains are shifted in frequency at the transmitter. At the receiver a plurality of receive chains is used, the received signals are similarly shifted in frequency and used to reduce the inter carrier interference. Embodiments also describe a method for Full Duplex communication where the transmitters transmit using different frequency shifts. The receiver receives the transmitted signal and an echo of it's transmission. As the received transmission is shifted in frequency from it's transmission, it can cancel out the echo and receive the intended signal.
