This interference can be minimized by using the presently disclosed systems, apparatus and methods to schedule time slots for UEs to go into compressed mode such that the distance in time between any two UEs going into compressed mode across one or more neighboring cells is maximized. By spreading out the interference effect of UEs going into compressed mode over time, overall interference in the wireless network can be decreased.
