Abstract: A developing treatment method supplies a developing solution onto a substrate to develop a resist film on the substrate with a predetermined pattern exposed thereon. The method supplies pure water to a central portion of the substrate to form a puddle of the pure water, and then moves a nozzle in a radial direction passing through a center of the substrate while supplying a developing solution to the puddle of the pure water from the nozzle with a wetted surface of the nozzle in contact with the puddle of the pure water, to form a puddle of a diluted developing solution on the substrate. The method then rotates the substrate to diffuse the puddle of the diluted developing solution over an entire surface of the substrate; and then supplies a developing solution to the substrate to develop the substrate.

Abstract: An encoding system that distributes a live stream to end user devices is provided herein. The encoding system automatically detects failed components and implements a failover action to replace the failed component with a backup component in a manner that reduces live stream interruptions. For example, the encoding system can include a network interface that is coupled to an encoder allocated to a live stream. Instead of providing a contribution encoder that transmits the live stream with a location of the allocated encoder, the encoding system can provide the contribution encoder with a location of the network interface. Thus, the contribution encoder can transmit the live stream to the network interface. The network interface can then forward the live stream to the allocated encoder. If the allocated encoder fails, then the network interface can forward the live stream to a backup encoder.

  • Patent number: 9967073
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An access point (AP) may use wireless local area network (WLAN) signaling fields in a multiple user transmission preamble to communicate with a number of stations greater than a threshold. For example, the AP may determine that the number of stations is greater than the threshold and generate a compression indicator and an indication of the number of stations to include in a first signaling field. The AP may then generate a spatial configuration indicator in a second signaling field based on the number of stations and transmit the first and second signaling fields in a preamble of the multiple user transmission. Upon receiving the preamble, a station may identify the compression indicator and number of stations, and the spatial configuration indicator in the first and second signaling fields, and decode the multiple user transmission using a determined spatial decoding scheme.

  • Patent number: 9949253
Abstract: A method for communicating data between a base station and a terminal device in a wireless telecommunications system, for example an LTE-based system. The wireless communication system uses plural frequency sub-carriers spanning a system frequency band. Physical-layer control information for the terminal device is transmitted from the base station using sub-carriers selected from across the system frequency band, for example to provide frequency diversity. However, higher-layer data for the terminal device is transmitted using only sub-carriers selected from within a restricted frequency band which is smaller than and within the system frequency band. The terminal device is aware of the restricted frequency band, and as such need only buffer and process data within this restricted frequency band during periods where higher-layer data is being transmitted. The terminal device buffers and processes the full system frequency band during periods when physical-layer control information is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 9948556
Abstract: The methods and systems described herein provide a mechanism to externalize network functions through a direct link between a network switch and an external packet processor. The network switch is configured to receive a packet directed to a destination node via a first network interface. The network switch is also configured to forward the received packet to a packet processor, via a second network interface, over a direct physical link between the network switch and the packet processor. The packet is forwarded with an identifier for a virtualized network function executing on the packet processor and a destination MAC address of the packet is different from a MAC address of the packet processor.

Abstract: A first network packet directed from one VPN endpoint to a second VPN endpoint is received at an intermediary network processing component. Metadata indicating that the first network packet is a candidate for monitoring is stored. In response to determining that a second packet received at the intermediary comprises an acknowledgement to the first packet, a traffic quality metric is stored at a location accessible to a VPN traffic analyzer. The VPN traffic analyzer responses to a traffic quality query using the metrics collected at the intermediary.

  • Patent number: 9929847
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for using a shortened block acknowledgement (BlockAck) frame capable of acknowledging fragments. Such a shortened BlockAck frame may include a bitmap field having a shorter length than that of a basic BlockAck frame in the IEEE 802.11 standard (i.e., <128 octets). One example method for wireless communications generally includes receiving a plurality of protocol data units (PDUs) (e.g., media access control (MAC) protocol data units (MPDUs)); determining whether each of the PDUs was successfully received and whether each of the PDUs is associated with a non-fragmented service data unit (SDU) (e.g., MAC service data unit (MSDU)) or a fragmented SDU; and outputting for transmission a shortened BlockAck frame comprising a bitmap field indicating a receive status for the non-fragmented and fragmented SDUs based on the determination.
