Abstract: In a transmitter which transmits a signal by a DSTBC scheme, communication is efficiently performed by the DSTBC scheme. In the transmitter which transmits the signal by the DSTBC scheme, a frame in which a sync word is disposed in a predetermined position subsequent to the head is used. Initial value controller (31 to 35) sets initial values of differential encoding (differential encoding unit 15) when a DSTBC encoder which processes a transmission target processes the frame on the basis of values from the head of the frame to a position before the sync word so that a signal point corresponding to the position immediately before the sync word in the DSTBC encoder which processes the transmission target becomes a specific point.

Abstract: A method for estimating a scrambling code used on an uplink of a WCDMA system. The scrambling code is obtained from a Gold code, sum of a first specific M-sequence of the user and of a second M-sequence known from the receiver. After sampling of the signal received at the chip frequency of the scrambling code, the successive samples are subject to a differential treatment and the sequence of differential values is multiplied by the second M-sequence. The observables thereby obtained are decoded with the aid of a belief propagation iterative decoding. The decoded values then serve to determine the content of the shift register of the generator of the first M-sequence. One then deduces therefrom the Gold code and an estimation of the scrambling code, ?.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an information processing device and method, and a program that make possible to reduce clock drift that occurs in streaming playback and to perform playback with more stability. An information acquisition part analyzes, using a predetermined method, streams that are held in a buffer, and acquires, as data-amount calculation information, information necessary for calculating a data amount. A calculation part calculates, using the data-amount calculation information, a temporal data amount of the streams that are held in the buffer. A detection part detects, from a result of the calculation, decoder clock drift. When a decoder clock is too fast, a clock control unit controls the decoder clock so that the decoder clock has a speed which is slower than that at present. Abstract: A network learns capability information indicating whether a user equipment (UE) is capable of simultaneous and independent operation in multiple component carriers (CCs). The network configures a monitoring pattern for each of multiple CCs that are configured for the UE in dependence on the received capability information. The capability information derives from the UE's RF layout; if the UE is capable of such simultaneous and independent operation the network can assign for the CCs different monitoring patterns that are independent of one another and the UE will have no gaps where it cannot take or send a measurement. This knowledge is particularly useful if the CCs are frequency non-contiguous with one another. If the UE is not so capable, the network must assign monitoring patterns to that UE for all its configured CCs that are not independent of one another.

Abstract: A signal transmission method is provided, wherein, when a transmitter transmits a signal to a receiver, a transmitter processor multiplexes a plurality of data for a plurality of connections to be transmitted to one specific receiver, and constitutes a multiplexed medium access control (MAC) packet data unit (PDU) containing a MAC header part for receiving the multiplexed data, and a MAC PDU payload containing the multiplexed data, and the transmitter transmits the multiplexed MAC PDU to the specific receiver. The MAC header part includes a first header part containing a generic MAC header, and a second header part containing an extended header indicator serving as a 1-bit indicator for indicating the existence of an extended header (EH) for each flow ID for each of the plurality of connections. The MAC header part further includes a third header part which selectively contains the extended header for each flow ID in accordance with the extended header indicators for each flow ID.

  • Patent number: 8767759
Abstract: A method capable of reducing a required capacity of a retry buffer of a link device when the link device transfers real-time data to a link partner through the PCIe interface determines how to resend a packet required by the link partner according to the type of the packet. When the packet is a data packet, the method determines if a pending data packet exists in a pending transmission data buffer. When the pending data packet exists in the pending transmission data buffer, the link device directly transmits the pending data packet to the link partner. When the pending data packet does not exist in the pending transmission data buffer, the link device transmits a dummy packet to the link partner. In this way, the retry buffer only requires enough capacity to store the dummy packet and buffer the command data packets.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for transporting an ultra-high-speed Ethernet service. The method includes: distributing an ultra-high-speed Ethernet service data flow into n virtual channels, where a rate of the ultra-high-speed Ethernet service data flow is higher than a rate of 100GE; synchronously adding a marker to data of each of the n virtual channels; mapping the data of the n virtual channels channel by channel; and framing and transmitting the data of the n virtual channels. The method adopts a channelized transport manner to transparently transport an ultra-high-speed Ethernet service, and implements mapping processing on the ultra-high-speed Ethernet service, so as to reduce its complexity to a level for processing a low-rate Ethernet service and reduce implementation difficulty.

  • Patent number: 8761579
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a video data processing apparatus which receives a data file includes a file receiving module, an analyzer, a default data storage module, a data restoration module, and a management module. The data file includes a header, in which a header key field, a header length field, and a header value field are arranged. The analyzer detects a character string, thereby detects a header key field of the data file received by the file receiving module, and reads out header metadata information from a following header value field. The data restoration module discards header data from a first position, in absence of the character string at the first position, and restores default data in the default data storage module instead of the discarded header data. The management module stores the header metadata information and the default data.

Abstract: Fields such as sequence numbers and length indicators of protocol layers are extended in extended headers so as to be backwards compatible with corresponding legacy headers. The existing fields of the legacy headers are not directly extended. Instead, existing fields are logically concatenated with other fields of the extended header. Whether the extended fields or legacy fields will be used can be determined dynamically based on current transport block size or semi-statically by higher layers.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for the intelligent association of control symbols with special symbols that are transmitted over a network. In one embodiment, the association is utilized to improve DC-balance on a transmission medium. In an exemplary variant, the special symbols originate from line codes such as the 8B/10B line code, which format a digital signal so that is optimized for transmission over a given physical channel. These control symbols are divided up according to a first criterion, while the special symbols are further divided up according to a second criterion. The divided control symbols are then allocated to the divided special symbols using a pre-designated allocation algorithm, which may or may not include a scrambling algorithm. The allocation of the control symbols improves signal characteristics and electromagnetic interference (EMI) when various ones of control symbols are ultimately transmitted over a given transmission medium.

  • Patent number: 8730998
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving control information in a system in which one or more Radio Frequencies (RFs) are used to carry multiple services through a frame constituted by time resources or time-frequency resources. Control information regarding frame configuration information is not transmitted over a separate control channel but over a data channel through which to transmit primary service traffic among all service traffic, and each non-primary service traffic other than the primary service traffic includes control information for a primary service. Thus, even when a receiver changes the current service to a target service, control information necessary to detect the location of the target service in a frame and demodulate the target service can be acquired, and thus a service change can be made without reading a separate control channel.
