Methods and systems can comprise receiving a telephony message having a source address and determining routing information using the source address. A telephony call may be routed using the determined routing information. Such processing may be implemented to route telephony calls to certain services such as accessibility services based on at least the source address of a telephony message.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes generating at least one call detail record for each call initiated on a communication network, aggregating the call detail records generated over a predetermined time period to provide an aggregated call detail record, and calculating a call set up failure rate for the calls from the aggregated call detail record, wherein the call set up failure rate is a measure of the amount of calls that failed prior to ringing at a called party's device. The computer-implemented method further includes adjusting parameters of the communication network when the call set up failure rate is above a threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods include obtaining data, in real-time, associated with a customer and interaction with the customer during a service being provided to the customer by one or more persons; obtaining design parameters associated with the service, wherein each design parameter has an objective measure; analyzing the data to compare performance of the service with respect to the design parameters; and providing a user interface to visually display the performance. The data can be obtained via one or more of feedback from the customer during the service, interaction of the customer with a mobile application, and interaction with a bot monitoring the service.

Abstract: Computing platforms may enable clients to use services to perform data processing jobs. A given job may utilize several services in a service call pattern. Each of these services consumes resources during execution. Described herein are systems, devices, and methods for determining costs associated with performance of a service call pattern. Weight data may be generated for each service using various metrics. As service calls are made in the service call pattern, an accumulated weight value is generated which is indicative of the weight data of the services in the service call pattern. The accumulated weight data may represent metrics such as amounts of resources consumed, latency, and transactions per second.

The methods, systems, apparatuses, and/or devices may include a first memory device for computer storage. The processor further identifies a target person of the interpersonal communication. In addition, the processor determines whether the interpersonal communication was heard by the target person. In response to determining the interpersonal communication was not heard by the target person, the processor relays the interpersonal communication through a second electronic device.

Abstract: Agencies issue recording devices to personnel for administrating and monitoring controlled calls during the course of their duties. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a virtual number is provisioned and configured to enable an operator to administrate controlled calls without dedicated recording devices. Using the virtual number, the operator may setup a controlled call between a victim and a baddie. The victim is contacted via the virtual number by the operator and optionally informed about the controlled call process. In turn, the baddie is contacted using number information of the victim's phone and connected with the victim. Call audio between the victim and baddie is transmitted to the operator. When necessary, the operator may terminate the call remotely from the telephonic device the operator used to setup the call.

The system analyzer is configured to continuously monitor electronic communications over the communication devices and identify one or more communication activities associated with the electronic communications. An address associated with a user of the mobile device is identified. The network event is attributed to a base station associated with the address. Events associated with the base station are aggregated. A normal value for calls is determined based on historical data. A threshold value is set based on customer calls in excess of the normal value for the base station. A severity level is associated with the threshold value. The severity levels are monitored and tickets for network services are created and prioritized.

The enterprise environment has a server, a database, a client program and a web interface. The database stores transaction data and administration data. The administration data configures operations of the client program per transaction. The client program records a time log and provides an interface to upload a volume log of the transaction. The end user or an administrative user manages content of the database via web interface. The server processes a respective request for recording transaction time and volume log and subsequently generates a productivity report including efficiency, availability, and utilization values based on the transaction data in the database.

Abstract: This invention relates to methods and an apparatus for detecting quality induced terminations of media streams of real-time communication sessions within a packet-switched network. To enable the determination of the quality of live media streams passing by the tapping points in a network, and to use this information to determine media transmissions being aborted due to bad quality the invention evaluates quality data records of a terminated media stream to detect, whether the media stream was terminated due to bad quality or another reason. Advantageously, a threshold number of quality data records that were generated for the media stream just before termination thereof are considered in the evaluation. In case each of this threshold number of quality data records yields a bad quality of the media stream, the termination of the media stream may be judged or assumed to be induced due to bad quality.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing a churn rate associated with subscribers of social network services are described. In some example embodiments, the systems and methods may access activity information associated with a former subscriber of a social network service, compare the accessed activity information to activity information associated with subscribers of the social network service, identify one or more differences between the activity information associated with the former subscriber of the social network service and the activity information associated with the subscribers of the social network service, and perform an action based on the identified one or more differences.

Abstract: In one embodiment, systems and methods are disclosed for processing telemarketing calls to determine an abandonment rate (“AR”). An abandoned call exists if a telemarketing call is answered by a live person and an agent is not connected to the called party within two seconds of the called party completing their greeting. In order to comply with various federal regulations, a feedback mechanism allows feedback of the measured AR to be used by the predictive dialer to manage the AR for future calls to maximize efficiency and avoid exceeding an AR limit. In one embodiment, a speech analytics system processes audio recordings of previously made telemarketing calls and provides feedback to the predictive dialer so as to adjust a target AR rate for future calls.

Abstract: Systems and methods for proactively establishing a third-party payment account for services rendered to a resident of a controlled-environment facility (“CEF”). A campaign-triggering event is detected, which triggers contact of prospective third-party (“3rd-party”) payers for a resident of a CEF in order to encourage such prospective 3rd-party payers to establish 3rd-party payment accounts for the resident. In this manner, the prospective 3rd-party payers are proactively contacted prior to an expected future demand for service by the resident. A method thus comprises identifying at least one prospective third-party payer for a resident of a controlled-environment facility, and proactively contacting the identified at least one prospective third-party payer prior to demand for service by the resident to encourage the identified at least one prospective third-party payer to establish a third-party payment account for payment for future service expected for the resident.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for conducting an outbound call campaign that involves multiple abandonment rates. In various embodiments, one or more filters are applied to a call list for an outbound call campaign to identify a first sub-list of telephone numbers with a first applicable abandonment rate and a second sub-list of telephone numbers with a second applicable abandonment rate. In particular embodiments, the first and second sub-lists are apportioned into sets of telephone numbers and a predictive dialer places telephone calls based on a first set for the first sub-list while targeting the first abandonment rate over a first particular period of time and, after placing the first group of calls, places telephone calls based on a first set for the second sub-list while targeting the second abandonment rate over a second particular period of time.

The method further includes populating a Switch Id field, in each NormLERG record having a distinct NPA-NXX value. The populating of the Switch_Id field is based on a number of corresponding non-normalized LERG records and on the Switch_Id field in one of the corresponding non-normalized LERG records and on a number of distinct Switch ID values in the corresponding non-normalized LERG records. Each of the corresponding non-normalized LERG records has a same one of the NPA-NXX values.

Abstract: The present invention enables a method for following the state of a call and generating defects as function of call completion success as opposed to discrete events that happen at individual network elements during the call. In one embodiment, the invention uses Call Detail Records (CDR) to analyze the end-to-end completion status to measure per call basis defects instead of using defect codes generated by network elements on a per equipment basis. CDR is data associated with a telephone call, including the calling and the called numbers, the date and timestamp, the duration, the call setup delay, and the final handling code of the telephone call.

Next, a customer experience index and an impact value is determined for the one or more call detail records for which the call drop is determined to be present. Based on the determined experience index, one or more actions are performed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring pattern shifts in call patterns, e.g., call volumes and/or feature usage in a packet network, e.g., a VoIP network is disclosed. The present method collects performance data over a set period of time and constantly compares each periodic sample with the previous periodic sample on a rolling window basis. Changes of a pre-defined percentage threshold, e.g., approximately 30%, or more in a current sampled period are alarmed and monitored to preclude potential service disruptions. In one embodiment, upon receipt of these alarms, network elements that are vulnerable to discontinuities due to overload can be automatically reset or cleared of hung processes.

When necessary, the operator may terminate the call remotely from the telephonic device the operator used to setup the call.

Abstract: In accordance with the teachings described herein, systems and methods are provided for optimizing distribution of advertisement information. In one example, call tracking data may be generated from a plurality of telephone calls made to a business entity, where the call tracking data includes geographical information to identify locations from which the plurality of telephone calls originated. A call distribution may be determined from the call tracking data, where the call distribution groups the call tracking data based at least in part on distances between the business entity and the locations from which the plurality of telephone calls originated.

Abstract: A system and method for managing telephone calls is disclosed. The system includes a central controller that receives and processes telephone calls. The identity of a caller is first determined. Based on predetermined settings designated by an end user, a call is directed to one or more telephones of the end user. Preferably, the end user's telephones ring simultaneously. The user may answer any of his/her telephones and choose from among several options of how to handle the call. If the user chooses to answer the call, the call may be transferred to that telephone and the conversation may commence.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a subscriber churn prediction includes receiving call detail records from a network operator detailing communication between subscribers of the network operator and determining tie-strengths between subscribers based on the call detail records. The system and method further includes generating a net churn influence accumulated at each subscriber from the tie-strengths by propagating churner influence between subscribers due to churn events.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a relevant content delivery service on networks such as packet networks, e.g., Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Service over Internet Protocol (SoIP) networks are disclosed. For example, the present method receives a request to initiate a call from a calling party to a called party. The method then establishes a communication connection between the calling party and the called party and a communication connection to a speech recognizer. The method monitors a conversation between the calling party and the called party using the speech recognizer for detecting one or more verbal triggers. Finally, the method delivers relevant content that is associated with any detected verbal triggers to the calling party and/or the called party.

Abstract: A call parker monitors calls between callers and a call center to determine the number of active calls to the call center. A maximum call center capacity is identified and compared to the number of active calls to determine if the maximum call center capacity is being met. If the maximum call center capacity has been met, new calls are intercepted and placed on hold until the maximum call center capacity is no longer being met (i.e., an agent completes a call). Once the maximum call center capacity is no longer being met, the new call(s) are transferred to the call center.

The method includes identifying an IVR state sequence for each of a plurality of calls from recorded audio files of the calls. The N most common state sequences are identified for the IVR system for the plurality of calls. An application flow is then displayed for the IVR application using the N most common state sequences.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems for managing VoIP network elements are provided. Methods include receiving call details records (CDRs) from a plurality of network elements. The received CDRs including disconnect cause codes and telephone call correlation identifiers. The received CDRs are correlated to telephone calls based on the telephone call correlation identifiers. Two CDR records are associated with the same telephone call when their telephone call correlation identifiers are the same. A master correlated CDR is created for each telephone call. The creating includes assigning a correlated disconnect cause code and classifying the telephone call. The assigning and classifying are responsive to the received CDRs associated with the telephone call. The master correlated CDR includes the correlated disconnect cause code and the telephone call classification. A threshold crossing alert (TCA) is generated in response to a threshold for the correlated disconnect cause code being reached.

Abstract: A system and method for notifying the calling party of acknowledgment of the missed calls by the called party is disclosed. The called party and the calling party can subscribe for the notification service to enable charging for the service. When the calling party initiates a call to the called party it may result in a missed call as the called party may be out of coverage area or busy. When the called party views the record of the missed call a notification is generated on the wireless device by the application on the wireless device of the called party. The notification is then sent to the calling party. The acknowledgement notification may be sent directly to the calling party or via an application server.

Abstract: Apparatus for local access to data while roaming with a mobile telephony device at a roaming network. The apparatus is located at the roaming network and comprises a filter having a data packet or packet header inspection unit for inspecting packet information or headers to identify data packets addressed from the roaming telephony device for use via a home network data packet gateway, and a packet diverter for diverting at least some of the identified packets to a local data packet gateway; the filter setting up a diversion tunnel for additional packets of the same session for directly routing all packets of the identified session to the local data packet gateway. Mobile devices are today programmed to send data to their home network for browsing via the home network data packet gateway. The filter allows data to be redirected to the roaming network so that Internet browsing and like data uses can be carried out directly by the roaming user at less cost and greater efficiency and quality of service.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for monitoring a communication network is described. In one example, call detail record data generated by network elements in the communication network is parsed to identify occurrence of a plurality of blocked calls over a time period. A plurality of consolidated call detail records for the plurality of blocked calls are respectively generated from the call detail record data. Each of the plurality of consolidated call detail records includes an originating telephone number. The originating telephone number of each of the plurality of consolidated call detail records is then processed to identify unique originating telephone numbers for the plurality of blocked calls.

Abstract: A call tracking system and method that estimates a number of calls associated with a publication channel. The system uses a sampling algorithm to perform the estimation. The sampling algorithm selects a group of advertisements to serve as a sample group, and determines a distribution of calls for each of the publication channels associated with the sample group. The distribution of calls from the publication channels is assumed to be the same for all advertisements, and the data from the sample group is used to model the performance across all advertisements. The selected advertisements may be associated with one or more advertisers. Pooled or dynamic signal processing methods may also be used to estimate a number of calls associated with a publication channel. The number of calls associated with a publication channel may be utilized to determine the efficiency of, or calculate the revenue share associated with, an advertising campaign.
