After determining itself in need of performance of such a functional operation, a subscribing one of the plurality of listening computing entities transmits a response to the request indicating subscription to the output of the functional operation. The broadcasting computing entity then performs the functional operation, thereby generating and transmitting to the subscribing one of the plurality of listening computing entities the output of the functional operation. The subscribing one of the plurality of listening computing entities then performs an action using the output of the functional operation received.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and system related to cross-domain routing of communication session requests in Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem are disclosed. In one example aspect, a method for routing a call initiated in an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) includes receiving, by a Breakout Gateway Control Function (BGCF) node operating in a first domain, a first message from a caller requesting an establishment of a communication session. The method includes determining, by the BGCF node based on header information of the first message, that the caller is located in a second domain different than the first domain, and generating, by the BGCF node, a second message based on a preconfigured rule for the second domain.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, each third party system of multiple third party systems can store files including datasets associated with one or more campaigns. A computing system can be in communication with the third party systems and including a first database and a second database. The computing system can be configured to receive the selection of the one or more third-party systems, store metadata associated with the at least one campaign in the first database, calculate at least one discrepant data value between the one or more third party systems, based on the datasets associated with the at least one campaign from each of the one or more third party systems.

Abstract: A method is provided that allows for prioritizing Push-To-Talk (PTT) service in a roamed network. PTT service is enabled for a mobile device at a first network. The mobile device roams to a second network that is of an older generation than the first network. It is determined that the mobile device has an active PTT subscription. PTT service is prioritized for the mobile device over circuit switched services on the second network.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for indicating a type of a PSP-ID are provided. The method includes: generating a system message by an access device, wherein the system message includes multiple PSP-IDs, PSP-IDs of a same type among the multiple PSP-IDs are sequentially arranged, and different types of PSP-IDs among the multiple PSP-IDs are arranged according to a preset sequential order, and the system message further includes indication information for each type of PSP-IDs, and the indication information is used for indicating a location of each type of PSP-IDs; and transmitting the system message by the access device.

Abstract: A method of upgrading nodes of a network virtualization platform is provided. The method receives a definition of an upgrade plan to upgrade a group of upgrade units. Each upgrade unit includes a set of nodes of the network virtualization platform. The plan groups sets of upgrade units into one or more upgrade groups and specifies a set of parameters for upgrading each upgrade unit. The method sends upgrade instructions to each upgrade unit to trigger upgrade for the upgrade unit. The method receives upgrade status from the upgrade units. The method aggregates and displays the status for the upgrade units of each upgrade group. When upgrade is in paused state, the method allows modifications to the upgrade plan. The method re-computes the upgrade plan before starting or resuming the upgrade. The upgrade plan is persisted by storing a portion of the upgrade plan needed to re-compute the upgrade plan.

Abstract: An IP telephony system obtains control over a group of telephone numbers that can be assigned to its customers' telephony devices under a contract with a first local exchange carrier that originally controlled the group of telephone numbers. The first local exchange carrier assigns one or more location routing numbers to the group of telephone numbers, and the one or more location routing numbers are for the exclusive use of the IP telephony system. The one or more location routing numbers are then recorded against the group of telephone numbers in a local number portability database. Other exchange carriers are then caused to route calls directed to the any telephony number associated with the one or more location routing numbers directly to the IP telephony system. As a result, a second local exchange carrier can terminate telephony communications directly to the IP telephony system, bypassing the first local exchange carrier.

Abstract: A temporary ENUM architecture assigns a temporary ENUM at call time. For an originated communication requiring routing to a party which needs a particular callback format not supported, the TempENUM provides consistency with the specific format required by the receiving party. The TempENUM is assigned for the duration of the call or communication, or for a given amount of time thereafter. The TempENUM service gateway includes a TempENUM database, a module that assigns a suitable TempENUM at the time of call routing, and a module that handles a lookup in the TempENUM database, and maps the assigned TempENUM to a calling party identifier (CgPID). The TempENUM database stores a TempENUM from a coordinator system and relates the actual calling party identifier (CgPID) for use in callback attempts. Either during the initial call or communication, or shortly thereafter, the receiving party uses the TempENUM number to return communication the initial caller.

Abstract: A system and method for managing an endpoint repository of a communication platform that includes managing a set of telephone endpoints that can be in an allocated state or an unallocated state; classifying endpoints of the set of telephone endpoints with a set of classifiers; evaluating endpoint inventory across a set of endpoint classification groupings and detecting at least one classification grouping that, based in part on the allocated and unallocated state of corresponding endpoints, satisfies an inventory update condition; generating an endpoint transfer request that specifies the endpoint classifiers of the classification grouping; and selectively adding endpoints from the inventory source to the endpoint repository.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing telecommunication services between a SIP network and an SS7 network are disclosed. In one method, SIP/SS7 gateway receives an INVITE message from a SIP proxy server. The SIP/SS7 gateway extracts a called party number from the INVITE message and determines whether a telecommunications service is required and a type of service required for the INVITE message based on the called party number. The SIP/SS7 gateway then formulates an SS7 query to a database corresponding to the identified service type. The SIP/SS7 gateway receives a response from the database and uses data from the response to facilitate completion of the call. In one example, the SIP/SS7 gateway may forward a routing number extracted from the response back to the originating SIP proxy server. In another example, the SIP/SS7 gateway may generate a new INVITE message and forward the new INVITE message to a terminating SIP proxy server.

Abstract: The present invention relates to performing advanced call routing in a mass telephone conference call, including: checking a conferee list to determine whether a telephone number is a ported number; creating a list of carriers for each ported number on the conferee list, which provides a list of the carriers for each ported number; arranging the list of the carriers in order based upon cost, from least expensive to most expensive, for the call; placing the call to each conferee based upon the ordered list of the carriers, starting with the least expensive to the most expensive of the carriers for each ported number; and wherein when the least expensive of the carriers is unavailable, placing the telephone call to a next one of the carriers on the ordered list, from the least expensive to the most expensive of the carriers.

An example method includes receiving a first set of client telephone number (TN) data associated with a client and a current time period, and receiving a second set of client TN data associated with a prior time period. Abstract: Efficient telephone number mapping (ENUM) based call routing during area code splits is described. An ENUM domain management component can associate an ENUM domain name with multiple records when a numbering plan area code split links an old area code of a telephone number corresponding to the ENUM domain name with a new area code. An ENUM provisioning component can perform permissive dialing of the old and new area code during ENUM based call routing by utilizing the multiple records.

Abstract: A system for and method of providing local number portability is presented. A request may be received to establish a session between an origination user agent and a destination user agent. The request may comprise a destination user agent identifier. It may be determined whether the destination user agent identifier was ported from one service provider to another. If so, routing information may be provided for establishing the session through the second service provider rather than through the first service provider. The session may be established over one or more Internet protocol networks.

Abstract: An automated method begins by receiving a list of numbers that have been de-activated by a carrier. Periodically, and for each number, a request is made to identify a current carrier for the number. If the current carrier matches the carrier that provided the de-activation information, the mobile number is considered to be in a first state, i.e., shut off and returned to a pool of numbers that are available to this same carrier. Upon a determination that the number is in the first state, the provider issues a request to any opt-in database to delete any express consent or other similar data associated with the number. If, however, the number does not match the carrier of deactivation, the number is considered to be in a second state, i.e., likely to have been ported by the same user to a new carrier. This state is logged in an audit trail.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling a network provider to instantly assign a virtual number to a subscriber to use until their primary number is successfully ported to the VoIP network is disclosed. For example, a virtual number can be a phone number for callers outside a subscriber's local calling area to call the subscriber for the price of a local call if the subscriber chooses a virtual phone number in their local calling area. After the porting of the primary number is successful, the user can be reached by either having callers directly dial the primary number or the previously assigned virtual number. The subscriber can continue to use both phone numbers or choose to disconnect the virtual number and only use the successfully ported primary number.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing multi-homed tandem access in a communication system are disclosed. The disclosure may include a private packet network backbone exchange (PPNBE) in connection with a set of access tandems and with a call destination such as an end-user or a communications service. A set of LRNs may be homed across the set of access tandems, with each of the set of LRNs mapped to one or more TNs corresponding to the call destination. An originating party may use any of the TNs to reach the call destination. A plurality of originating calls each including one of the TNs may be received at the PPNBE from any of the access tandems and routed to the call destination. Thus, the present disclosure provides greater call capacity than available access tandem architectures as well as optimizes a maximum number of call paths to a particular call destination.

In addition, a system for implementing an NP service is provided, including an NP database and a switching device. Two types of NP databases are also provided. With the present invention, each NP database only needs to store partial NP data, which lessens the load of each NP database in storing and updating NP data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing multi-homed tandem access in a communication system are disclosed. The disclosure may include a private packet network backbone exchange (PPNBE) in connection with a set of access tandems and with a call destination such as an end-user or a communications service. A set of LRNs may be homed across the set of access tandems, with each of the set of LRNs mapped to one or more TNs corresponding to the call destination. An originating party may use any of the TNs to reach the call destination. A plurality of originating calls each including one of the TNs may be received at the PPNBE from any of the access tandems and routed to the call destination. Thus, the present disclosure provides greater call capacity than available access tandem architectures as well as optimizes a maximum number of call paths to a particular call destination.

An embodiment of a method includes receiving a telephone number (TN) to test for its porting activity as part of a local number portability (LNP) order, accessing a LNP call tester (LCT) to determine a current local routing number (LRN) for the TN, and determining, based on the TN and current LRN, whether the porting activity is completed for the TN in relation to a core telecommunications carrier servicing an owner of the TN.
