Call Intercept Or Answering Patents (Class 379/70)
  • Patent number: 11941121
Abstract: In an embodiment, systems and methods for detecting malware are provided. A server trains a static malware model and a dynamic malware model to detect malware in files. The models are distributed to a plurality of user devices for use by antimalware software executing on the user devices. When a user device receives a file, the static malware model is used to determine whether the file contains malware. If the static malware model is unable to make the determination, when the file is later executed, the dynamic malware model is used to determine whether the file contains malware. The file along with the determination made by the dynamic malware model are then provided to the server. The server then retrains the static malware model using the received files and the received determinations. The server then distributes the updated static malware model to each of the devices.

Abstract: The present invention moves service control, including call control, for a user element from any number of subsystems to a multimedia subsystem (MS). Call control for originating or terminating a call in any subsystem as well as transferring the call between user elements is anchored at a continuity control function (CCF) in the MS. A call may be transferred by the CCF from a first user element to a second user element in the same or different subsystems upon receiving a request from the second user element. A user may invoke a transfer from the first user element to the second user element by having the second user element send an appropriate request to the CCF. The request may be provided to the CCF by initiating a call from the second user element that is intended for the CCF, when the call with the first user element is active.

Abstract: A software solution to recording IP based communications that is highly scalable and reliable. Recordings can be configured to occur automatically or be triggered on-demand by a user that has been given the rights to do so. The user initiating the on-demand recording need not be a participant on the call. The solution is based on two server components: a call manager and a media server. The call manager is responsible for re-routing the IP media stream between two endpoints via the media server. The media server relays the IP media packets while capturing a copy that is stored as the recording. The recordings are stored on a network share and secured using standard network file security mechanisms. Access to playback recordings requires rights that are configured via the administrator. Playback of the recordings can be accomplished via the phone, client application or web service. Each playback interface offers a listing of recordings that the user has rights to access.

Abstract: A circuit for a telephone such as a mobile radiotelephone. The circuit has a memory for storing phonebook items and for storing group attributes associated with phonebook items, a connection to a radiotelephone receiver for receiving telephone calls and calling party identifications, and a controller for selecting the disposition of received calls. An operating mode is selected (45) from a plurality of operating modes, e.g. “Personal”, “emergency”, “personal-plus-emergency”, “all calls”, “no calls”, etc. A received calling party identification is compared (42) with a phonebook item, and a disposition for a received call (46, 47, 48, 49) is selected dependent on a group attribute for that phonebook item and a present operating mode.

Abstract: Agencies issue multiple devices to personnel for maintaining distinct identities over the course of assigned investigations. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a phone is converted for use with multiple attached telephone numbers. Accordingly, a single phone may be used to manage multiple identities over the course of one or more investigations. Using a multiple attached number, a given device can place and receive calls over the network to and from contacts. In addition to providing multiple attached numbers, calls using the multiple attached numbers may be monitored live and recorded to establish evidence.

  • Patent number: 8341533
Abstract: Tools and techniques are described for storage and expedited retrieval of messages and responses in multi-tasking environments. Methods provided by these tools may establish active communications with a first contact, and then received indications of secondary communications involving a second contact. These methods may then present user interfaces (UIs) that include representations of at least the secondary communications. Through the UIs, the methods may receive a selection of one of the secondary communications for an expedited response, and may receive input from the user that provides the expedited response to the secondary communication, while maintaining the active communication in an active state. These methods may provide the expedited response to the secondary communication, based upon the input received from the user.

  • Patent number: 8270580
Abstract: An interactive voice advertisement exchange presents an interactive voice advertisement to a user of a voice network who is placed on hold. After the user sends a signal response from a user device to a receiving system and is placed on hold, the hold time and a parameter associated with the signal response are received from the receiving system. Using the hold time and the parameter, an interactive voice advertisement is selected from one or more interactive voice advertisements sent by advertisers. The selected interactive voice advertisement includes a voice message and an application that dictates how the user can interact with the voice message. The voice message and the application of the selected voice interactive voice advertisement are sent to the receiving system. The receiving system sends the voice message to the user device and executes the application during a portion of the hold time.

Abstract: Provided is a method for multiple-termination routing in a wireless network environment that includes an Internet Protocol (“IP”) core. The method includes receiving a call delivery request. The call delivery request is based upon intelligent network protocols and includes a called number. The call features associated with the called number are retrieved, a determination is made whether the call features include multiple-termination routing information for a plurality of potential terminating devices, wherein at least one termination to be routed utilizes Session Initiation Protocol. When the call features include the multiple-termination routing information, call setups are initiated to each of the plurality of potential terminating devices. Upon detecting a first potential terminating device to complete one of the plurality of initiated call setups, any remaining initiated call setup or setups are released.
