  • Patent number: 9539683
Abstract: A positive feed tool that includes a spindle that is axially moved along a feed path to perform work on a workpiece. The tool includes a gear head with a plurality of gears configured to rotate and axially move the spindle. The gear head is designed to change the changing gears within the gear head to change feed rates on the spindle. The gears can be interchanged without a complete disassembly of the gear head.

  • Patent number: 8509450
Abstract: A method of enhancing an audio signal includes the steps of: a) receiving a primary audio input signal, b) receiving a detected audio signal which comprises: A) an echo component derived from play-out of the primary audio input signal and B) a noise component, and c) estimating from the primary audio input signal and the detected audio signal: 1) a set of frequency-specific lower bound gains, such that each frequency-specific lower bound gain, when applied to a respective frequency of the primary audio input signal, would cause the noise component to just mask the echo component at that respective frequency and 2) a set of frequency-specific upper bound gains, such that each frequency-specific upper bound gain, when applied to a respective frequency of the primary audio input signal, would cause the echo component to just mask the noise component at that respective frequency; d) estimating a set of frequency-specific gains in such a way that each frequency-specific gain falls between the respective frequency-

  • Patent number: 8194878
Abstract: A system and method is described herein in which an audio source wirelessly transmits audio content to a first audio sink over one wireless link and to a second audio sink over another wireless link. The two audio sinks also exchange forward error correction (FEC) streams over a link between the two audio sinks, wherein the FEC streams are generated by FEC encoding the audio content received from the audio source. The audio sinks advantageously use the exchanged FEC information to synchronize the playback of the audio content as well as to improve the robustness of the wireless links with the audio source in a manner that does not consume additional bandwidth on those links.

  • Patent number: 4862509
Abstract: A portable system for recording telephone conversations from a telephone and also for recording face-to-face conversations includes a portable, battery-powered audible sound recorder carried by the user, a microphone connected to the recorder, and a microphone support which is supported by the ear of the user for retaining the microphone between the telephone earpiece and the inner portion of the auditory meatus of the user. By locating the microphone near the auditory meatus or in the outer portion of the auditory meatus of the user, sounds of the face-to-face conversation and sounds of the telephone conversation from the earpiece are recorded on the recorder. With the recording system of the invention, there is no physical contact between the microphone and the telephone earpiece. A microphone holder is also disclosed for retaining a small microphone near or in the auditory meatus of the user.
