Abstract: An ironing board in which two pressing portions supported to both ends of a pole have their own pressing surfaces on the sides opposite to the pole, respectively, the width of one pressing surface can be increased and reduced, an auxiliary pressing portion with a convex pressing surface can be installed and removed in and from one pressing portion, and a retainer member for restraining an ironed substance is equipped. With this configuration, various types of pressing surfaces can be diverted with simple operation, and iron-pressing can be carried out without displacing the ironed substance, thereby achieving improved ironing efficiency.
Abstract: A workstation tray device for easy connection with a plurality of collapsible ironing board configurations, for temporary but secure storage of containers of compositions applied to articles being ironed, in hinged cooperation for retractable storage in connection with the ironing board without being detached therefrom. The device consisting of a tray member of resilient material for attachment to a ironing board by fingers for receiving a hinged adjustable collar for clamping to one ironing board leg, and by two support arms each movably attached, at one end by a bolt to the flat end of the board member, and at the other end to a bracket attached to the tray such that the shelf is horizontally disposed under the board in convenient close proximity having adequate clearance for storage of items, all without interfering with the legs and feet of the operator. The arms have arch members hingeably attached to strut to cooperate with the tray.

Abstract: Apparatus for spreading and feeding articles of flatwork such as sheets to an ironing machine and comprising a conveyor over which a beam with two movable clamps is arranged. The clamps are adapted to grip the article at two corners and to move apart to draw the upper edge of the article tight. The beam is stationary in order to simplify construction. Between the beam and the conveyor is a movable plate, onto which the upper edge of the article is transferred and from which plate the article is transferred to the conveyor by a movement of the plate in the moving direction of the conveyor.
Abstract: A clamp bar for drapery tables consisting of a length of extruded metal which may be cut to any desired length, and along which a series of manual handle-operated clamps may be secured at any desired intervals for securing an edge of a sheet of drapery fabric thereto, the clamps being applicable separately, a lever member extending substantially the full length of the bar and being pivotal relative thereto about a longitudinal axis to release all of the clamps simultaneously, and a power mechanism operable from a central station to pivot the lever.
