Centering From Outside Bobbin Or Diaphragm Patents (Class 381/403)
  • Patent number: 7856115
Abstract: An optimized moving-coil loudspeaker is described herein. The loudspeaker includes an acoustic-radiating diaphragm that is non-cylindrical shape. The diaphragm is a substantially-planar substrate having uniform density. A moving-coil assembly is coupled to the acoustic-radiating diaphragm. The assembly is configured to move back and forth in a linear fashion. As the assembly is connected to the diaphragm it causes acoustic waves to be emitted from a front surface the acoustic-radiating diaphragm. The acoustic-radiating diaphragm is not supported by a conventional basket, among other differences.

  • Patent number: 7499563
Abstract: In a speaker device, when an excessive driving signal larger than a withstand input is inputted to a voice coil, a voice coil bobbin moves with large magnitude. When the voice coil bobbin largely moves on a side opposite to a sound emitting side (downward), each component of the speaker device collides with each other and a large abnormal sound occurs. Therefore, a connecting member and a pot type yoke are designed to collide with each other via a buffer member in an area E1, for example, when the voice coil moves downward with the large magnitude. Namely, the buffer member is attached on a bottom surface of a bent portion of the connecting member, opposite to an upper surface of a cylindrical portion of the pot type yoke, in a circumferential direction.

Abstract: A loudspeaker has voice coil suspended in the gap of a frame and motor by a spider and cone. The spider is attached to the frame by a clamp. The frame has a pair of contact pads formed therein. First and second retainers on the frame and clamp are releasably engageable through a combined axial and rotational movement. The clamp when engaged holds the periphery of the spider against the frame and the leads of the voice coil against the contacts pads. Cam surfaces on the retainers create axial pressure to hold the spider against the frame.

Abstract: A speaker and a method of manufacturing the speaker are provided. The speaker includes a terminal board attached to a side surface of the frame and connected to the electric signals, a dust cap for preventing the inflow of foreign matters into a gap of the magnetic circuitry, an edge formed on the circumference of the cone paper, and a gasket acting to prevent the resonance of the frame and a cover with metal parts, in fixing the frame and the cover of the speaker, and to prevent the delamination and separation of the edge from the cone paper by the vibration of the cone paper. The damper is maximally enlarged in its size, thereby maximizing amplitude of output sound via the damper and attenuating a low band factor. The damper is connected to the upper surface of the voice coil and the upper surface of the frame. Thereby, in case of a speaker with a size of less than &PHgr;45 mm, the minimum resonance frequency can be attenuated to less than 300 Hz.

The magnetic circuitry of loudspeaker is characterized in that the lower yoke is provided at an upper side surrounding the bobbin with a plurality of radially equally spaced supporting posts, a top end of which being higher than at least a bottom side of the magnet, and that a ring-shaped upper yoke having a central hole is covered onto the top end of the supporting posts, such that heat produced by the voice coil during working could quickly dissipate via the spaces among the supporting posts. Since no heat would accumulate in the loudspeaker, the loudspeaker could always maintain good sound quality.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a loudspeaker comprising: continuously forming diaphragm portions and alignment portions on a band resin film; positioning one of a frame and a protector at an upper die or a lower die; aligning another alignment portion formed on the frame, the protector, the upper or lower die having the film disposed thereon with the alignment portion formed on the film; bonding the frame and the resin film forming the diaphragm; and cutting a diaphragm out of the resin film. The position of bonding the diaphragm to the frame or the protector can be easily determined by aligning the alignment portion formed on the band resin film with another alignment portions provided on the frame, the protector, or the lower or upper die on which the frame or protector is disposed. Further, a conventionally-indispensable ring can be eliminated to reduce the number of components.

Abstract: A high stability loudspeaker has a yoke with a plurality of vents installed therein. The yoke is combined to a bottom of a frame of the loudspeaker. A magnet is placed in the yoke. A washer is arranged above the magnet. A periphery of the magnet is surrounded by a voice coil. A coil winding surrounds the voice coil. A combining portion is formed at a periphery of the yoke. The combining portion serves to be combined with a surround connected to a bottom of end of the voice coil. The voice coils is vertically installed in a gap between the portions of the yoke. The top of the voice coil is connected to another surround. Thereby, vibration of the voice coil is confined at the two ends. As a result, the gap between portions of the yoke structure into which the voice coil extends between portions of the yoke is reduced and therefore, the sensitivity of the loudspeaker is increased and the distortion is decreased.
