A library of chemically inert colloidal particles is developed that can be dispersed into soft materials, the stoichiometry of the mixture encoding user-specified information, including information about the host material. Encoded information then can be recovered by high-speed analysis of holographic microscopy images of the dispersed particles. Specifically, holograms of individual colloidal spheres are analyzed with predictions of the theory of light scattering to measure each sphere's radius and refractive index, thereby building up the distribution of particle properties one particle at a time. A complete analysis of a colloidal fingerprint requires several thousand single-particle holograms and can be completed in ten minutes.

Abstract: A method, computer readable medium, and system are disclosed for overlaying a cell onto a polygon meshlet. The polygon meshlet may include a grouping of multiple geometric shapes such as triangles, and the cell may include a square-shaped boundary. Additionally, every polygon (e.g., a triangle or other geometric shape) within the polygon meshlet that has at least one edge fully inside the cell is removed to create an intermediate meshlet. A selected vertex is determined from all vertices (e.g., line intersections) of the intermediate meshlet that are located within the cell, based on one or more criteria, and all the vertices of the intermediate meshlet that are located within the cell are replaced with the selected vertex to create a modified meshlet. The modified meshlet is then rendered (e.g., as part of a process to generate a scene to be viewed).

Abstract: A fingerprinting solution that uses neural network (NN) based trained Machine Learning (ML) modules in combination with traditional image processing for contactless fingerprint capture, liveness detection to rule out fake fingers, and fingerprint matching using a portable handheld device with integrated camera, thereby eliminating the need for a special device dedicated for fingerprinting. The trained NN modules detect the size and direction of fingers in the captured image, check if fingers are reversed in the image (thereby making nails visible), check if the thumb of the correct hand is captured, and generate fixed-length fingerprint templates for subsequent matching of fingerprints. Three dimensional (3D) depth map of a finger is used to bring the fingerprint resolution to 500 dpi and eliminate distortion caused by the curvature of the finger shape to improve accuracy while scaling and flattening a fingerprint image.

Abstract: The disclosed exemplary embodiments include computer-implemented devices, apparatuses, and processes that, among other things, perform dynamic biometric authentication based on distributed ledger data. For example, a device may compute a first hash value based on first biometric data captured by a sensor unit, and may transmit a request to, and receive a response from, a computing system across a communications network via the communications unit. The request may cause the computing system to execute instructions maintained within the distributed ledger data, and to extract second biometric data maintained within an element of the distributed ledger data. The second biometric data may include a second hash, which the computing system may incorporate into the response. The device may authenticate an identity associated with the device when the first hash value corresponds to the second hash value incorporated within the response.
