Abstract: The disclosure relates to a container and method of manufacturing a manually openable container of a collapsible type for fluid contents, including making a container with a defined compartment from a web of material. A top corner portion of the container is designed to define a product channel and an opening initiation is formed across the product channel, along which opening initiation a tab is to be separated. The opening initiation includes a starting portion, a stop portion and a terminating portion. The starting portion requiring a first separating force, and the terminating portion requiring a second separating force. The distance between the starting portion and the terminating portion forms the stop portion, which requires a third separating force. The third separating force is greater than the first and the second separating force.

Abstract: A bag that is made out of paper, recycled paper or paper-based material is designed in appropriate sizes and shapes to fit a variety of paper shredder machines in order to efficiently collect the paper shreddings which are output from such a machine so that the container and its contents can be directly placed into the paper-recycling stream without additional time and labor spent separating the paper contents from what currently is typically a plastic bag or rigid container. The preferred embodiment is designed with peel and stick adhesives on the top flaps to close the top with a double layer of flaps, to better secure the contents against spillage and theft, and integrated handles provide for more convenient transfer of the container and contents from the paper shredder machine, ideally to a paper-recycling destination.

The body is a bag in which is disposed a product and has an inner surface defining the inner surface of said package. The frame defines an opening and has a surface attached to the inner surface of said package. The door has one edge connected to the frame for swinging movement of said door between a closed position, whereat the door occludes said opening to contain said product, and an open position, whereat the door is orientated to permit access to said product. The apparatus releasably secures the door in its closed position. The material forming the bag can overlie the door and be perforated to define a frangible portion of said material that call be removed or pulled away to permit operation of the door.

Abstract: A palletized shipping container (10) for bulk handling of liquids and fluent materials has a collapsible inner bag (30) enclosed in a flexible outer liner/bag (11) having rigid stiffener panels (20) in pocketed sides. The inner bag has a bung at its top end for filling or discharge and a valve fitment (50) near the bottom for receiving a discharge valve. Tape tabs (34, 19) at upper ends of the inner bag and outer liner/bag attach to the top panel and/or stiffener panels to maintain the bags in an erect uncollapsed configuration. The stiffener panels prevent bulging of the inner bag and provide vertical support, but their lateral sides are spaced apart and form non-structural “floating corners” to maximize volume, minimize shock, vibration and abrasive forces on the inner bag, yet maintain impact and compression strength meeting international certification standards.

Abstract: The bag has a trapezoidal shape including a pair of parallel edges opposite each other with one longer than the other and a pair of opposite diverging edges. One edge of the bag is defined by a fold to close off an opening providing access into the bag. Other edges of the bag are formed by a seam joining two opposite layers of flexible material together. The opening is preferably provided on a flap which extends beyond the trapezoidal perimeter of the bag. When this flap is folded over, the final trapezoidal shape for the bag is provided. Walls are built utilizing a plurality of such trapezoidally shaped sandbags in alternating parallel orientations for the long edges and short edges of adjacent bags. Joints between adjacent sandbags are longer than with rectangular sandbags and interlock together somewhat.
