Abstract: A travel accessory in the form of a travel bag, has at least two fabric pockets, two connecting strips, and a shoulder strap. The fabric pockets are connected to each other via the connecting strips. The travel bag is designed to be secured to a suitcase, specifically a carry-on sized suitcase. When a suitcase is standing on its wheels, the travel bag is laid over the suitcase, such that one pocket is on either side of the suitcase, and the connecting strips are over the top. The connecting strips are sized to reach from one side of the suitcase to the other. When the travel bag is not being secured to a suitcase, it can be carried like a purse by using the shoulder strap.

The shipping bag includes a cover tape having perforations particularly well suited for finger holds of a user that center the users hand relative to the width of the bag without requiring a registration of the finger holds relative to the bag during the manufacture of the bag.

Abstract: A low-profile retractable cord system in which a line is attached to a pair of retractor mechanisms located in the sides of an article to be carried (such as a briefcase, a purse, a handbag, suitcase, tote, bag, knapsack, sports bag, gym bag, etc.). The line is high-tensile braided line threaded out through eyelets which are offset inwardly and downwardly from the upper corners of the article to be carried. This way, the line and shoulder pad attached thereto lie flat along the carried article. Various retractor mechanisms are shown, including an opposed pair of coil-spring-biased reels, opposed independent pulley mechanisms, or a common pulley mechanism. An alternate embodiment employs a single retractor mechanism and line for a single loop-handle is also shown.

The sealing-flaps fold into the flexible shipping bag when the flexible shipping bag is turned inside out revealing backpack flaps each configured to define a draw-string tube-like passage therethrough. The flexible shipping bag includes a drawstring and a tab extending from an inside edge of the shipping bag, preferably near the bottom, and configured to secure the drawstring. The inside of the shipping bag may also include a separate pouch. The top of the pouch may include means to close the pouch.

Abstract: A continuous band for producing bags for fruit and vegetable products is formed from a continuous plastic sheet which has been die-cut to produce a series of small holes which are closed using mesh or net fragments fixed along the periphery of the holes by heat-sealing, gluing or any other conventional manner. An area of the continuous sheet intended to contain a handle is provided with a transverse patch of pre-determined hardness in order to reinforce the area used to hold the bag once it has been filled, such that the thickness of the band-forming plastic sheet can be significantly reduced, specifically by a value of the order of 40%, without affecting the performance of the bag in terms of mechanical strength since the area in which the greatest strains are concentrated corresponds exactly to the area containing the handle.

Abstract: The bag has a back panel, a front panel, an upper panel having an upper panel body and a flap and a floor panel. The back panel has a handle opening near the top of the panel. The front panel is shorter than the back panel and is connected to the back panel at the sides of the panel. The upper panel body is sealed to the back panel below the back panel handle, below the upper panel handle and above the flap fold line to form a bag top. The heat sealing desirably forms a seal strip that extends across the width of the bag below the handles and above the flap fold line to connect the upper panel body to the back panel. The top of the bag folds back away from the bag central opening so the handles are not soiled during loading.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable waste containment device that is rapidly deployable. The waste containment device allows containment of liquid or semi-liquid waste until permanently disposed. The present invention also provides a portable waste containment system wherein the waste containment device is enclosed within a package for storage and when pulled from the package the waste containment device is ready for use. Still further, the present invention provides a method of using the portable waste containment device of the present invention.

A first grommet and a second grommet each are located on the container shell and each include a perimeter that defines an aperture through the grommet. The second grommet including a magnetic or a ferromagnetic material. A first magnet is within the first grommet. The first grommet and the second grommet are positioned on the container shell to assist in closing the opening by magnetic attraction between the first magnet and the magnetic or ferromagnetic material, when the opening is closed the grommets are held in a position wherein the apertures are in general alignment.

Abstract: The present invention is a collapsible liner for use in a bulk container. The liner comprises a first flexible panel, a second flexible panel, a first seal, a second seal, and a tab. The first flexible panel includes a first longitudinal edge. The second flexible panel includes a second longitudinal edge. The first seal joins the first and second panels near the first and second longitudinal edges and runs generally parallel to the first and second edges. The second seal joins the first and second panels and is generally oblique to the first seal. At least one of the panels extends across at least one of the seals to form the tab, which includes an attachment feature. The attachment feature may be a piece of tape affixed to the tab. The attachment feature may be a strip of fabric or other reinforcement material melted into the tab, sealed within the tab or affixed to the tab via an adhesive. The attachment feature may be a hole with sealed or unsealed edges.

The hanging mechanism is arranged onto the inner wall of a front panel of the main body and includes a limiting portion, a hanging band and a locator. The first locating end of the locator can be meshed with or disengaged from the second locating end. The hanging band is penetrated into the limiting portion. The hanging band can be retractably concealed into the front panel, or pulled outwards in a hanging state. The hanging band can be limited by meshing of the first locating end with the second locating end or by abutting separately the first and second locating ends onto the first and second threading portions.

The collapsible structure includes at least two flexible continuous loop frames which are substantially enveloped by the edging. The edging coupled to the periphery of the web. One or more handles may be attached to the structure or formed within one or more of the side panels. A method of making and collapsing the structure is also disclosed.

Abstract: An optical attenuator for use in optical power regulation uses a shutter to control the insertion loss of a gap in a pair of substantially coaxially aligned waveguides, for example a pair of optical fibers. The shutter is part of a MEMS accuator device and is coupled to the movable one of a pair of spaced plates, the movable plate being movable by a voltage applied between the pair of plates. To regulate the power, a small portion of the optical power is abstracted and used to derive a control voltage that is applied to the optical attenuator for varying the attenuation inserted in the optical wave path.

Abstract: A packet which enables the user to attach a pair of carrying handles to a package and containing a pair of flexible cords and four plastic members each having a flat surface coated with an adhesive and provided with an adherent protective strippable plastic film there over covering the flat surface, and an opposed surface. The opposed surface of each of the plastic members is provided with a normally integral raised portion, the improvement wherein the raised portion has a slot therein for receiving one end of said flexible cords with a snap fit to provide for ready attachment and detachment of the flexible cords. The flexible cords are adapted to be hand gripped together to provide a carrying handle for a package.

Abstract: A convertible bag for holding articles therein is arranged to be opened into a reclining mat to provide a sanitary surface for reclining a child thereon. An inner surface of the reclining mat includes a pillow compartment into which a pillow is removably secured. A pair of zippers are used to removably join the top and bottom panels to form the bag. The bag includes a pair of handle straps. The handle straps are attached to the bag to form at least one utility loop useful for attaching baby related paraphernalia such as pacifiers and toys, so they remain within the child's reach and they do not fall onto the floor and get lost. The handle straps preferably further includes a metal snap fasteners for removably attaching the handle straps to the outer surface of the reclining mat to prevent an infant from being strangled by a handle strap while lying on the reclining mat.

A cap is pivotally mounted on the hidden base for enclosing the recess.
