The closure includes: a first flexible angle. The first flexible angle includes a first interior part joined to the first side panel inside of the interior volume and a first exterior part extending from the first interior part and outside of the interior volume. The closure includes a repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive that releasably engages the first exterior part to the second side panel interior facing surface. A free flange extends from the first exterior part. The free flange is devoid of the repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive. The first side panel and the second side panel are more than about 80% by weight paper.

Abstract: A multi-layer film and a film package made from the film are described herein that provide resealing capabilities by utilizing a tacky layer within the multi-layer film. The multi-layer film can include an outer film portion including the embedded tacky layer and an inner film portion. An opening feature formed in the multi-layer film includes a flap configured to be manipulated by a user to create an opening through the multi-layer film. The inner film portion can include a release layer configured specifically to interact with the tacky layer to provide a desired separation peel force and resealing functionalities. The outer film portion can include an outer film layer disposed on an opposite side of the tacky layer from the release layer that is configured to permanently adhere to the tacky layer.

Abstract: A re-closable, stand-up package with a tamper-evident opening system. Production of the package originates from only two feed rolls. One roll is a flexible film web and the other is an adhesive tape. A reclosing layer is constructed from a strip of web material taken from a side of the feed roll and a length of the tape. The strip portion of the closure layer is perforated along tear lines which define a package opening. The tape and the strip are then adhesively joined so that they partially overlap vertically. The closure layer is then applied to the web over a slit in the front panel forming a re-closable primary opening. A gusset fold at the bottom of the package permits the package to be free-standing vertically upright. Contents of the package can be dispensed only after rupture of the closure layer strip.

Abstract: A re-sealable package and method which includes roll stock, a pressure sensitive label and a release member. The re-sealable package includes an outer layer laminated to an inner sealant layer. The pressure sensitive label has a first preselected shape and includes a pressure sensitive adhesive on one side. The side having the pressure sensitive layer is adhered to the inner sealant layer of the roll stock. The release member is formed in the outer layer, the release member having a second preselected shape which is smaller than the first preselected shape of the pressure sensitive label. As the release member is lifted from the pressure sensitive label, an area of the pressure sensitive adhesive is exposed to allow portions of the package to be removably adhered to the area of pressure sensitive adhesive.

A pressure-sensitive label functions as a sealing panel which completely covers the flap of the laminated film layer. A releasable adhesive is provided a pressure sensitive label that is applied over the film layer forming the top of the container. The pressure-sensitive label provides a sealing panel which is releasable from the film layer outside the perimeter of the score by peeling back the sealing panel. After opening the flap, the sealing panel of the pressure-sensitive label is reclosable against the top to seal the access opening.

Abstract: A package reclosing strip includes an adhesive layer that extends the full width of a flexible film strip. In some embodiments, the package can be reclosed by covering the opening with the overlabel. A consumer may wish to dispose of a used article by placing the article back into the package via the opening and re-adhering the overlabel.

The container having a supporting insert including a frame extending along the side faces and having a lower peripheral edge laying against the bottom face of the container. The frame may include foot portions and may have a top peripheral edge situated adjacent the top face and may have head portions between which two top panels extend. The insert covers the inner face of the container in the area on which the lateral margins adhere, to support it during the resealing. A method of manufacturing is also disclosed.
