Abstract: A packaging material is provided that can provide a packaging bag or container cover in which the contents is shielded from the atmosphere and tightly sealed, a small hole is formed in the appropriate locations, without special processing of the heat seal portion, and the internal pressure is maintained with high stability at a level above the normal pressure. The packaging material is suitable, for example, for heating in a microwave oven. The packaging material uses a film in which a heat sealing agent (4) with a low melting point is applied to a prescribed zone of an oriented film (2) made of a synthetic resin, a cutting line (5) is cut in the oriented film (2) made of a synthetic resin in the form of a solid or broken line passing through the zone coated with the heat sealing agent (4), and a cast film (3) made of a synthetic resin and having heat sealing properties is affixed to the oriented film (2) made of a synthetic resin. Such film is used for a packaging bag (1) or a container cover.
Abstract: A urine collection receptacle has a body formed by walls sealed along the periphery. First and second sheets form a drape which is situated between the walls. The drape extends across the body below the inlet, with the side edges of the drape sealed along opposing sections of the periphery. The sheets are sealed to each other along spaced vertical lines to define the body of a flap valve. The vertical sealed lines are severed to detach the flap valve body from the remainder of the drape. The sheets may also be sealed along oppositely oriented, downwardly inclined lines to form a funnel to direct liquid from the inlet toward the flap valve. The structure facilitates manufacture because the drape is sealed to the receptacle body in the same automated operation which seals the periphery of the walls.
Abstract: Square ended valve bags are formed from a tube-like band and in a chain with the back wall and top end of each bag partially sealed together to provide bags between the seals. Patches are placed on the top end of the bag and the patches and top ends are provided with displaced openings to provide a valve. Each bag in turn may be filled through the valve located in the top end, the bag expanding forwardly from the back wall by expanding gussets in the top and bottom ends.
Abstract: A sack is constructed from a thermoplastic film of which the side portions are brought into partial overlapping relationship to define a tube section and top and bottom weld seams are applied transversely. A longitudinal weld seam applied within the confines of the region of overlap terminates at a spacing from the top weld seam to define a filling valve passage. The region of overlap contains a longitudinal inner strip of reduced thickness made in one piece with the walls of the sack.
