One of the layers of the folded bubble can be split adjacent to an edge of the collapsed bubble and a draw tape film can be inserted between the layers of the folded and collapsed bubble. The collapsed bubble can further be embossed by a pattern that can provide enhanced properties to bags formed from the folded bubble.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a secure cash deposit bin housed in an automated teller machine (ATM) for receiving cash from customers, and methods and systems for using the secure cash deposit bin. Embodiments of the present invention provide a cash deposit bin, with a lid, in which there is a receptacle that receives cash and automatically seals the cash within it when the secure cash deposit bin is opened. An exemplary system further includes the secure cash deposit bin comprising a limited-entry device in the lid and an access sensor locking device on the bin.

    Abstract: An elastic drawstring for use in a plastic liner bag is disclosed. The drawstring is elongated and then relaxed to secure the top of the bag to a receptacle and subsequently used to close the bag when filled. The drawstring is formed from an elastomeric polyolefin, preferably a linear low density polyethylene, and contains material comprising polypropylene. The polypropylene addition provides the drawstring with improved modulus or stiffness and improved tensile yield. Improving these properties gives the drawstring a stronger holding force for maintaining the bag in the receptacle and in a closed position when the bag is removed from the receptacle. In addition, the top of the bag has perfed notches at each side that break away to expose the ends of the elastic drawstrings when the consumer stretches the drawstrings around the top of the receptacle. These perfed notches allow for easier manufacturing of the bag.

The bag is placed in the receptacle, the mouth stretched and placed over the receptacle opening. The elastic strands then retract creating a restoring force that secures the bag to the receptacle.
