Including Separate Closure Element Patents (Class 383/56)
  • Patent number: 8844450
Abstract: A product reservoir is provided that includes a flexible bag and a carton to receive and retain the flexible bag. The bag may contain liquid chemical substances that are dispensed from the bag through a bag spout. The product reservoir may serve as a component to a fluid delivery system, such as a direct injection system employed by agricultural seed planting machines. When the bag is connected to the direct injection system, the liquid substance is placed in fluid communication with a delivery device whereby the substance can be dispensed to a selected area for treatment. The liquid substance may be mixed in-line with water received from a water reservoir prior to being dispensed by the delivery device. The planting machine may be equipped with a plurality of product reservoirs. A method of applying a liquid pesticide to a selected area is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7045199
Abstract: A photo album is provided having an ink-receptive coating on a surface of the photo album. A user may write text or draw pictures on the surface with an ink pen, such as with a gel-based ink pen. The ink-receptive coating protects the ink from smudging or smearing after the ink has dried. Consequently, the text and/or picture is durable. The writable or drawable surface may be the front or back exterior surface, and/or an interior surface.

  • Patent number: 4930904
Abstract: A foldable bag material is formed into a bag having at least one end with a corner and having an end closure formed by the bag material which closes off the one end of the bag. A filter valve tube extends within the end closure at the one corner, the tube having an inner end disposed within the interior of the bag such that the tube is adapted to receive a filler nozzle of a pneumatic filling device for filling the bag with a filling material. The tube has an inner end portion and an outer end portion, the inner end portion having a cross-sectional contraction which is contracted relative to the outer end portion such that the contracted inner end portion forms a seal with the filler nozzle, the tube being made at least partially of a filter material which is gas-permeable but which retains the filling material such that the gas-permeable material provides for venting of the bag during filling.

  • Patent number: 4910608
Abstract: Imagery data is compressed by subdividing the data into a plurality of blocks. Each block is encoded into a bit map and a pair of threshold values. The bit map provides an array of binary encoded imagery data-representative vector combinations. A vector combination is subdivided into a set of adjacent sub-blocks, each which is examined to determine whether or not it is associated with a prescribed attribute of the image. If the vector is associated with a prescribed attribute, a code representative of that attribute is generated. If the vector is not associated with a prescribed attribute of the image, prescribed portions of the vector are inverted to derive modified vectors that are associated with prescribed image attributes. For each such modified vector a corresponding code is generated. Using each of these corresponding codes, image data is effectively reconstructed and then compared with the original image data.
