Abstract: A storage bag includes a bag body and a first operating component. The bag body includes a top portion and a bottom portion opposite to the top portion. An opening is formed on the top portion. The first operating component is connected to an inner side of the bottom portion. The first operating component is pulled through the opening for flipping the bag body inside out. The present invention allows a user to flip the bag body inside out by pulling the first operating component through the opening, which makes it easy to clean the interior of the bag body thoroughly.

Abstract: A package securing system is disclosed suitable for large and small packages and envelopes. Said package securing system comprises a container into which a user would place items to be secured, and a peg or post onto which the user would place the container. Sliding the container past a flange on the peg causes the container to be locked onto the peg. A user may then operate an unlocking mechanism to remove the barrier to removal. The disclosed package securing system is easy to use prompting adoption by delivery persons.

Abstract: A tie strip (1) comprising a strip of material having teeth (2) on at least one face thereof wherein along the length of the strip there is provided a plurality of apertures each covered by a flap, (3) wherein the tie strip is such that when an end thereof is passed through an aperture the flap engages with the teeth to inhibit withdrawal of the strip in the opposite direction.

Abstract: This invention is a secure and portable apparatus and is of parcel bag-type receptacle that can be placed for a limited time, outside a front-door or place of access to a mail carrier. The apparatus can be securely connected to a pre-existing doorknob of the front door or pre-existing door handle on or near the front door for a mail carrier to deliver a package, lock up the parcel bag, so that only the resident or authorized recipient can access the parcel upon their return. The locking mechanism in the parcel bag is one-way, thereby, once locked; even the package delivery person will not be able to access the package. The secure storage system neither damages nor requires any permanent alterations to the property structures at or near the front-door. It is portable and can be carried along during one's travel.

Abstract: A convertible clutch purse is disclosed that converts to a billowy sash and vice versa. The purse is formed of an elongated composite fabric structure having an inner sheet and an outer billowed sheet attached together to form, in one embodiment, a generally oval shaped body. A selectively closable pocket is sandwiched between the inner and outer sheets, wherein the pocket is accessible along one edge joining the inner and outer sheets, and wherein the sash may be folded into the pocket to convert the sash into the clutch purse. An alternative embodiment converts from the purse to a stole or scarf having free ends.

Abstract: A gift wrapping system, for use in wrapping a gift, contained within gift packaging having a top and bottom, using a wrapping device having a main part and a closure plate having a central opening. The main part is made of a highly stretchable material formed into a tube having an open end and a closed end. The gift packaging is inserted into the main part through the open end, and the gift is pushed downwardly toward the closed end as the open end is pulled upwardly. Once the bottom of the gift packaging is against the closed end and the open end is pulled above the top of the gift packaging, the open end above the top is grabbed as a tail, which is pulled upwardly through the central opening of the closure plate as the closure plate is pushed downwardly against the top of the gift packaging.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a kit of parts comprising a cooking bag for storing food to be cooked in a microwave oven, the cooking bag having a cooking bag opening, and a pressure release closure device, configured for restricting the cooking bag opening when attaching the pressure release closure device at the exterior of the cooking bag thereby contracting the cooking bag opening so as to establish a steam conduit whereby gas pressure in the cooking bag may be released from the cooking bag during cooking in a microwave oven. Further the present invention relates to a pressure release closure device and a method of preparing food using a pressure release closure device.

Abstract: A bulk material transport bag comprising a flanged discharge apparatus that secures a replaceable discharge outlet cover is disclosed. The discharge outlet cover may be quickly replaced to reseal the discharge outlet after use. The flanged discharge apparatus is comprised of a flange or base ring assembly engaged with the bag around the bag discharge opening. A locking flange or ring secures the replaceable cover to the base ring assembly to cover and seal the bag discharge opening. The replaceable cover is intentionally incised to discharge and empty the contents of the bag. When the bag is emptied a new replaceable cover is mounted between the base ring assembly and locking ring to seal the bag discharge opening. The replaceable cover may be comprised of the same material used for construction of the bag or another suitable material.

Abstract: A reusable gift wrap and a method of wrapping a gift comprising a sheet of material and a fastener. The sheet has a plurality of corners. The fastener comprises a body fabricated from a resilient material and is attached near one of the corners. A plurality of coterminous radially extending slits are formed in a face of the body and define the edges of a plurality of pivotable flaps and an opening for receiving the other corners of the sheet. The flaps comprises a living hinge which permit each of the flaps to pivot. The flaps increase in thickness from the living hinge to the edge of the flap. The three flaps simulate the appearance of a cuboidal gift box.

Abstract: A ball bag having an interior formed of a stretchable material that pulls the bag exterior towards its own center, shaping the bag and locking the balls in place. This technique enables the bag to be used as a ball backpack.

Abstract: Lettuce can be commercially packaged in the field using a wrap that has a body with an opening, and an elastomeric portion around the opening. The elastomeric portion of the wrap is stretched wide enough to place the head into the wrap. The head is placed into the body of the wrap, and the stretched elastomeric portion is released. The relaxed elastomeric portion holds the wrap around the head.

Abstract: An underwater oil well blowout spill containment system includes a folded curtain positioned in a magazine around a deep water well head and blowout preventer (BOP). The magazine is positioned around the well-head and BOP and leaves room for required construction and maintenance. In the event of a blowout, the curtain is drawn upward from the magazine and cinched to contain leaking oil. A hose is connected to a port on the magazine to draw the oil to a tanker on the surface.

Abstract: The bag for receiving refuse may include a bag body, the bag body including an inside surface, an outside surface, and a rim defining a mouth. The bag may also include a first strip of material disposed on the inside surface of the bag body proximate the rim. The strip may include an inside surface, an outside surface that faces the inside surface of the body, a top edge, and a bottom edge. The bag may also include a front wall, a back wall, and a hem, the hem including a drawstring. The strip may include a printed design. The design could be letters, numbers, pictures, writing, or any other design. When the bag is inserted into a trash receptacle such that the rim of the bag is folded over the rim of the receptacle, the printed design is visible from outside the receptacle.

Abstract: An improved liner having an elastic securing mechanism that may be placed in a vessel to form and maintain a barrier between the vessel and objects contained therein. The liner includes an elastic securing band secured around the perimeter of the open top end of the liner using a plurality of spaced-apart tack welds or rivets. In one embodiment, the liner material is folded over the elastic and ultrasonic sealing is used to burn through the elastic and seal the folded liner material to itself thereby securing the elastic to the liner. In use, the liner is placed within a receptacle of the vessel and the open top end is folded outward and downward over a rim of the vessel such that the elastic engages an outside of the vessel to form a secure and snug fit of the liner to the vessel. Advantageously, a failure to a portion of the elastic is limited to that portion of the elastic only and propagation of the failure is limited by the rivets.

Abstract: A game bag with enhanced features is herein disclosed, comprising a lower portion of the bag provided with open-screened netting which allows for increased airflow over the carcass thus allowing the carcass to cool in a controlled manner, and an upper portion of the bag provided with sections of hook-and-loop fastener. One section of hook-and-loop fastener is provided in a vertical configuration which allows the bag to open up fully across its upper section. Another section is provided horizontally on a strap arrangement to allow for complete sealing of the bag against the carcass. To properly use the game bag, the game is field dressed and hung from a tree or other suitable support. Next, the bag is brought up from the bottom to completely cover the carcass thus sealing it from dirt, insects and other contaminates.

In one embodiment, the valley may include a flat portion at the bottom of the valley. The flaps may be tied together to at least partially close the bag. The bag further may include a first seam that intersects the flat portion of the valley. The flat portion reduces the possibility of tearing the seam. In another embodiment, the valley may include a slit. In an additional embodiment, the valley may include two secondary valleys and a center valley. In another embodiment, the seam may intersect the top edge at a point other than the lowest point in the valley.

Abstract: A sterile cover for a touchscreen device is provided that includes a transparent, electrically conductive screen area adapted to cover a screen of the touchscreen device and including a first sterile material. The sterile cover also includes a perimeter area surrounding the screen region and having an opening adapted to receive the touchscreen device and including a second sterile material. A removable sterile cover for substantially encapsulating a touchscreen device is provided that includes an opening for inserting the touchscreen device into the cover and a closure for closing the opening. A device for dispensing sterile covers for touchscreen devices is provided that includes a chamber adapted to enclose a plurality of sterile covers and an actuator adapted to move a next sterile cover of into a ready position. The device also includes a loading area adapted to hold a touchscreen device.

Abstract: An apparatus for carrying foldable footwear that comprises a drawstring pouch having a side pocket that reversibly adjusts between undrawn and drawn states. When undrawn, the pouch is characterized by an opening at the top of the pouch that is dimensioned and configured for receiving a pair of foldable shoes in an interior of the pouch. When drawn, the pouch is characterized by a drawstring arranged on the upper portion sealing off the opening, thereby concealing the interior of the pouch. The apparatus further comprises a collapsible tote bag removably inserted in the side pocket, where the tote bag is configured to reversibly convert between unfolded and folded states. When unfolded, the tote bag is characterized by an interior portion that receives a pair of unfolded shoes, where the interior portion further includes a storage pocket. When folded, the tote bag is completely contained within the second pocket.

Abstract: A vacuum apparatus for sealing an airtight bag includes a tongue in fluid communication with a vacuum chamber and base members that close around and seal a section of the bag. The once closed, the apparatus facilitates fluid communication between the interior of the airtight bag and the vacuum chamber, allowing actuation of the vacuum chamber to result in evacuation of air from the bag. The tongue may take the form of a removable tube device or may be designed to puncture the bag. The apparatus may be wholly removable after evacuation of the bag, or some part of the apparatus may remain on the bag in order to maintain the airtight seal.

Abstract: A reusable and refoldable bag includes an integral locking mechanism that enables the bag to stay closed in a compact folded position (the folded position is about one-sixth to one-ninth of the original bag size compared to the bag when it is open and laid flat) when not in use and is easily opened when needed to carry contents. The integral locking mechanism includes a covering feature with a protected adhesive element and a flap with a mating adhesive element. In the folded position, the flap's adhesive element is placed under the covering feature and securely interlocks with the protected adhesive element. The locking mechanism can be disengaged and re-engaged for multiple reuses. The flap couples to a first side of the bag and extends outward from the bag. The covering feature couples to the first face adjacent to a top portion of the bag.

Abstract: A disposable bag receptacle includes a body having an open top end portion and a closed bottom end portion. The body defines a cavity extending between the top and bottom end portions and includes a flexible outer surface impregnated with a pesticide. The outer surface further includes a predetermined quantity of aroma substance impregnated therein for emitting a pleasant aroma. The body further includes a plurality of flexible straps having opposed end portions attached to the body. The plurality of straps are connected adjacent the top end portion of the body and are engageable with each other for tying the open top end portion. In an alternate embodiment, the body has a longitudinal axis extending in a substantially horizontal direction.

Abstract: The Doggie Scoop, included with a disposable plastic bag, is a device for the efficient and sanitary collection and disposal of canine fecal matter (dog poop). Before using the Doggie Scoop, insert a disposable plastic bag into Scoop, then, when a dog gets ready to poop, slide the lock on the handle of the Scoop forward with your thumb to open the Scoop (which will be opened horizontally), then slide the extension of the Scoop under the dog to catch the poop. The extension of the Scoop should lie flat against the ground since dogs usually squat close to the ground when they poop. The wheels on the Doggie Scoop help in sliding the Scoop under the dog, and since the wheels can rotate 360 degrees, the Scoop can be moved in any direction to accommodate any movement of the dog. When the dog is finished, slide the Scoop out from under the dog, squeeze the handle on the Scoop to close the Scoop, and with your thumb, slide the lock on the handle of the Scoop backward to lock the Scoop and keep it closed.

The protrusions may be of complex three dimensional shapes to form dimples in the fabric having corresponding complex three dimensional shapes. The system and method provide for creation of a dimpled fabric container, wherein the dimpled fabric container may be utilized in gift wrapping.

Abstract: A pet drying and cleaning bag is made of a piece of material having two opposite ends joined together to form an open-ended material. One of the unjoined ends is kept fully open while the other unjoined end is partially joined together, leaving an opening in at least a portion of this other unjoined end. This opening may be closable and may also be elastically expandable. Some embodiments of the pet drying bag may include closure mechanisms, such as zippers or hook and loop fasteners, to provide additional openings in the bag. The bag of the present invention may be made larger to act as a beach bag, towel, and privacy changing screen.

Abstract: A method of closing a bag includes providing a band. A connector extends into the band and connects together opposite portions of the band and to divide the band into a first loop and a second loop. The flexible bag has a peripheral wall. The peripheral wall has a terminal end having an opening therein. The band is extended around the peripheral wall and the first loop extended into the second loop to tighten the band around the bag and close the bag.

Abstract: A device for reducing or eliminating the dead space in a fitting and tubing used on a disposable container by using a flexible elastic fitting that can accommodate a pinch valve or a clamp or the like closer to the flange portion of the fitting. The fitting is formed of a flange and a neck portion with a bore running through them. The neck may terminate in either a tubular section or a hose barb. The neck end section especially when in the form of a hose barb can be reinforced to provide a platform for attaching a tubing to it.

Abstract: A flexible bag comprises flexible sheet material assembled to form a semi-enclosed container having an opening. The bag has a drawtape closure for sealing the opening. The sheet material of the drawtape closure exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis. The sheet material of the drawtape closure comprises a first region and a second region. The first region and said second region are comprised of the same material composition and each has an untensioned projected pathlength. The first region undergoes a substantially molecular-level deformation and the second region initially undergoes a substantially geometric deformation when the sheet material is subjected to an applied elongation in a direction substantially parallel to an axis in response to an externally-applied force upon the sheet material of the drawtape closure.

Abstract: The application relates to a means for closing a bag, in particular a bag made of bio plastics. The means for closing a bag comprises at least one wire covered at least partially with a coating of a bio plastics. The coating is a closed coating offering the wire corrosion protection when exposed at normal ambient conditions during storage or use of the means and the coating being degradable, biodegradable or compostable once the means is exposed to an environment suitable for decomposition.

Abstract: A bag having both a support system and a closure system is provided. The closure system of the bag provides structural support to the bag. In at least one embodiment, the bag includes at least one sheet of flexible material assembled to form a semi-enclosed container, an opening within the semi-enclosed container defined by a generally circular periphery of the semi-enclosed container at an unenclosed end of the at least one sheet of flexible material, and a flexible support rim disposed around the generally circular periphery of the semi-enclosed container at an unenclosed end. The support rim is sufficient to support the opening within the semi-enclosed container in an open position.

Abstract: An extendable application device which allows a user to apply soap, lotion, medication, or various other substances to areas of the body which may be difficult to reach. The device can function as a traditional scrubbing or application device but may also be extended so that the user's back, shoulders, or other areas can be addressed as well. Exemplary embodiments use an elastic member that can elongate to allow an extended reach. Some embodiments may be used in retail packaging assemblies in order to secure retail items and provide pleasing aesthetics.

Abstract: An apparatus for collecting and handling yard debris supports a flexible, reusable receptacle in an open configuration. The apparatus has a frame for supporting the receptacle, the frame having a shape that defines an opening through which the receptacle is draped, at least one straight member defining an opening for receiving the flexible receptacle, and a flexible, closed-loop member for securing the mouth of the receptacle to the frame. The frame also has at least two retaining surfaces extending from the frame for retaining the flexible, closed-loop member. The apparatus can be used as a tool to collect leaves or other yard debris directly. The receptacle has a hatch that can be opened to deposit the collected debris into another receptacle or other location.

Abstract: This invention is a buckling fastening device of luggage including a strap clasp, a main casing, a prop block, a spring and a base casing. The main casing is a hollow trough with an expanded plate at its top. The expanded plate has an insert trough, and the prop block is located within the hollow trough. The spring is set between the prop block and the base casing. The base casing is set at the outer rim of the main casing, and its top plate has a ring corresponding with that of the main casing. The insert ends at the both sides of the strap clasp can block and fasten the clasp when inserted into the hollow trough of the main casing. By pressing the block ends, the clasp can be readily detached. Hence, the purpose of quick and convenient function is achieved.

Abstract: A gift wrapping enclosure encloses a gift which has been inserted within an interior of a main body formed of flexible material. An end portion of the main body surrounding an open end is folded back to form a cuff. An interior surface is exposed at the cuff, and the exposed cuff surface has a different color, texture or material characteristic from the main body. The main body is constricted at the cuff to close the open end and confine the gift, and is expanded at the cuff to provide access to the interior to remove the gift.

Abstract: A wrap for a bottle or other product includes a pair of T-shaped panels coupled together to define a bottle-receiving pocket and a collar. Trim panels are coupled to the T-shaped panels to define at least one channel that extends around the collar and receives a tie. Tightening the tie gathers the collar together to close the pocket.

Abstract: The Adaptable Gift Bag is a bag made of relatively opaque, stretchy material, not paper or netting, so that it can fit over various sizes and shapes of gift items and present a smooth, attractive appearance. The Adaptable Gift Bag is typically made of a single sheet of material folded over and sewn along one or two sides so that it has one open end, but in alternate embodiments it could have two open ends. The open end can be closed around the gift by gathering and tying with traditional ribbon or cord, by attaching a drawstring, or alternatively can be twisted and stretched back over the gift for a unique finished appearance. In another embodiment, the present invention is an improved trash bag having an outer bag and an inner bag within the outer bag, the outer bag and inner bag being formed with a common wall portion, wherein the inner bag has an inner opening closure device capable of constricting the inner opening in order to substantially prevent odor from escaping the inner bag. A deodorizing path can be removably secured to the inner bag.

Abstract: Provided is a plastic bag including a live elastic strip that, in the elastic strip's normal condition, contracts thereby constricting an opening of the bag to assist in retaining the bag to an object. The elastic strip includes a first region that is continuously attached to a sidewall of the bag between a first side edge and a second side edge of the bag and a second region that remains unattached to the sidewall. The attached region does not contract but instead forces the portion of the sidewall to which it is attached to pucker into a serpentine path. The unattached region does contract causing the portion of the sidewall to which it is adjacent to bunch together. Also provided is a method for manufacturing a plastic bag that involves stretching a live elastic tape and continuously attaching a region of the stretched tape to a web of plastic material.

Abstract: A liner retainer device for attachment to a folded upper section of a liner of a waste container comprises an elongated flexible unitary body having a first side which is printable and a second side upon which is applied pressure sensitive adhesive with a paper release covering adhered thereto. The paper release covering is scored so as to be divided into three segments, one defining a first end portion, one defining a second end portion and one defining a mid-section portion. The liner retainer body is formed of a thin material having sufficient elasticity to be disposed over uneven surface and material without exceeding the elastic limit of the material and with sufficient tensile strength to resist breaking or tearing.

Abstract: An oven bag and methods for using the same are disclosed. The oven bag may be used in a range of different ovens. The oven bag is characterized by pre-formed perforations that provide for both venting of hot gasses and a secondary opening. The oven bag may comprise different kinds of closure devices including, but not limited to, drawstrings and hand ties.

A nested disposable bag pack is used to allow a new bag or bag-set to be available upon extraction of a previous bag/bag-set. The nested bag pack is a pre-packaged, multi-inserted bag pack, wherein the bags have been inserted within one another during the manufacturing process. The bags comprise a disposable material, such as a polymer (e.g., polyethylene or another polymer material), paper, or another material. The nested bag pack has a variety of uses in a variety of industries, including household and commercial use.
