Patent number: 6935787Abstract: An oil-circulating structure for fan has an oily bearing with a central axis hole for pivoting a fan shaft. An oil-collecting recess trench is formed on the inside wall of the axis hole. The oil-collecting recess trench has a double inner screw shape oil-guiding ditch that is separately formed in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction and forms a plurality of crisscrosses in the oil-collecting recess trench. When the fan rotates, a lubricant in the oil-collecting recess trench is driven by the rotating fan shaft to flow the crisscrosses through the double inner screw shape oil-guiding ditch to circulate in the oil-collecting recess trench so as to achieve an internal-recycle oil-circulating system.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2003Date of Patent: August 30, 2005Inventor: Nien-Lun Li

Patent number: 6494621Abstract: A Bearing and Bushing assembly where the operational mating surfaces of the bearing and bushing components are each formed with grooves, longitudinally extending the length of each component. The grooves formed in the bushing to be attached to a shaft are spiral, at least two in number, one being a reverse spiral to the other. The bearing assembly has a number of longitudinal, parallel grooves again extending the length of the bearing members. The bearing member is of composite construction. The inner component carrying the grooves being of hard rubber.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2001Date of Patent: December 17, 2002Inventor: Peter T. Markovitch

Patent number: 5857318Abstract: A transmitting chain is provided which can lower surface pressure between a bushing and a pin, which can well maintain a lubricating state, and which is high in durability so as to be capable of withstanding high load. A groove or a depression, into which lubricating oil, supplied from outside of the chain, is moved, is formed in at least one of a group including an inner peripheral surface of a bushing and an outer peripheral surface of a pin. A difference, space, or clearance, located between an inside diameter of the bushing and an outside diameter of the pin, of portions of the chain not including the groove or depression, is set in a range of from about 0.05 to 0.6% of the outside diameter of the pin.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 1998Date of Patent: January 12, 1999Assignee: Tsubakimoto Chain Co.Inventors: Nobuhiro Odai, Junichi Uchimaru

Patent number: 5779005Abstract: A system for lubricating bearings on a vertical rotatable shaft within a bearing housing, is comprised of an annular lower lubricant sump at a lower portion of the bearing housing; an annular upper lubricant reservoir at an upper portion of the bearing housing; and a conduit providing fluid communication between the lower lubricant sump and the upper lubricant reservoir. Provision is made for metering a flow of lubricant from the upper lubricant reservoir into upper bearings. The lubricant is pumped from the lower lubricant sump, through the conduit, to the upper lubricant reservoir at a rate exceeding the rate of metered flow into the upper bearings. A constant head of lubricant above the metering orifice is provided in the upper lubricant reservoir, as well as an outlet for shunting excess lubricant back to the lower lubricant sump.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 1997Date of Patent: July 14, 1998Assignee: Ingersoll-Dresser Pump CompanyInventors: William B. Patent number: 5540504Abstract: A hydrodynamic bearing journaling a shaft includes a rotatable bushing journaling the shaft and thrust plates on the shaft at opposite ends of the bushing. The bushing is encased in a cylindrical sleeve. Lubricant containing clearance spaces are formed between the shaft, bushing, sleeve, and thrust plates. One or more internal helical passages are formed between the bushing and sleeve and open into the axial ends thereof adjacent to the thrust plates. An internal radial chamber between the bushing and sleeve opens into the helical channel through radial ports for providing lubricant between the journal bearing and the shaft and thrust plates.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 1995Date of Patent: July 30, 1996Assignee: Quantum CorporationInventors: Jackie Cordova, Richard E. Patent number: 4629405Abstract: In gear pumps having an automatic lubricator, channels are provided for the delivery to and the discharge from the pump bearings, of lubricant, which consists of and is withdrawn from the medium to be conveyed. The conveying means for conveying the lubricant through the channels are mounted in the shafts of the gear pump. The channels can connect the suction side or the delivery side or the suction and delivery sides of the pump to the pump bearing.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1980Date of Patent: December 16, 1986Assignee: Hoechst AktiengesellschaftInventors: Geza Hidasi, Karl Zill

Patent number: 4427310Abstract: A lubricated bearing has a rotatable structure which includes a housing with an opening at one end, a bearing cup and a retaining member. The retaining member grips the exterior of the bearing cup and the interior of the housing to secure the bearing cup within the housing with its mouth towards the opening and with lubricant spaces between the housing and bearing cup both above and below its rim. A stationary member has a spherical part which fits within the bearing cup to provide relatively rotatable bearing surfaces and a shaft which extends out of the housing through the opening.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 1982Date of Patent: January 24, 1984Assignee: British Gas CorporationInventor: Andrew H. Patent number: 4427308Abstract: A hydrokinetic spindle including a housing having a bearing in which the journal portion of a shaft is mounted. The shaft has a helical groove having a progressively decreasing cross-section formed on the journal surface thereof and extending from one end of the journal portion to the other which picks up a predetermined amount of fluid lubricant from fluid pickup posts leading from at least one fluid reservoir formed in the housing and directs the lubricant to and upon the shaft under pressure thereby maintaining a film of fluid lubricant under pressure between the shaft and the bearing of the housing. The housing and shaft are sealed in an artificial atmosphere.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 1982Date of Patent: January 24, 1984Inventor: John R. Sandberg
