  • Patent number: 11981549
Abstract: Disclosed is a crane, in particular for offshore application. The crane includes a bearing the assembly between a pedestal and a carrier frame. The bearings are distributed over the height of the support structure and include upper bearing, which include a radial contact rolling bearing including rolling elements and a smooth cylindrical raceway, coaxial to the axis of rotation. The radial contact rolling bearing allows a longitudinal translational degree of freedom of the rolling elements over the height of the cylindrical raceway.

  • Patent number: 8783958
Abstract: Intervals are provided between rolling elements in a load area to avoid jostling of rolling elements in a rolling device. A portion of a transfer groove has such a sectional shape as to form a contact point changing path for coming in contact with smaller diameter portions of the rolling elements than outer diameters of the rolling elements to thereby reduce revolution quantities of the rolling elements to bring rolling elements in contact with or close to each other at this portion. Then, when the rolling elements come out of the contact point changing path, the outer diameter portions of the rolling elements come in contact with the transfer groove to thereby increase the revolution quantities of the rolling elements to create intervals between the rolling elements entering the load area.

  • Patent number: 8402850
Abstract: A load displacement apparatus to displace a mobile platform along a structure includes a worm screw mounted on the platform for rotation about its axis that meshes with a plurality of support blocks mounted on the structure. The support blocks are spaced apart from one another along the structure to be successively engaged by the worm screw. Each support block includes a plurality of bearing balls freely movably supported and retained therein to selectively and movably engage the worm screw over at least an arc segment thereof such that the worm screw is always in meshing engagement with at least one of the support blocks. A scaffolding system incorporating the apparatus is also described.

  • Patent number: 6547437
Abstract: In a curvilinear motion guide unit in which sliders are allowed to move along a track rail extending curved with a preselected curvature, this unit makes the slider reduced in size with well balance. An end cap may be made common in specification to a variety of sliders, which are modified in specification depending on diverse variations in curvature of track rail. To this end, a casing for the slider has forward and aft end faces that are arranged, regardless of the variations in length of the casing, such that imaginary planes including the end faces and normal to a top surface of the track rail coincide with radial planes extending through the center of curvature of the track rail. The return passages are opened on the forward and aft end faces at locations that are closer to the centroidal axis of the track rail than the loaded raceways. Moreover, the return passages are linear bores that run straight through the casing.

  • Patent number: 5279078
Abstract: A method for cleaning articles with pellets. The apparatus has a housing where an article can be cleaned with pellets. A first auger is rotatably disposed in the housing and rotatably passes therethrough for conveying pellets out of the housing after the pellets have been discharged into the housing for contacting an article for cleaning. A second auger is rotatably disposed on the outside of the housing and communicates with the first auger for receiving and transporting pellets therefrom. The second auger has a sleeve having a structure defining at least one opening wherethrough pellets pass after being transported. A rotating impeller is mounted on a side of the housing and receives the pellets through the opening of the sleeve and propels the pellets towards the article. As the pellets contact the article, the article is abrasively cleaned.
