The abnormality detection device includes a vibration sensor configured to measure vibration during operation of the ball screw, a calculation processing unit configured to acquire a vibration value of a vibration signal in a specific frequency band among vibration signals measured by the vibration sensor, and an abnormality detection unit configured to determine that a decrease in the preload has occurred in the ball screw when the vibration value is less than a previously determined threshold with respect to a reference value, the reference value being a vibration value in an initial stage of the operation of the ball screw or during a normal operation of the ball screw.

The bearing housing has bearing housing flanges with bearing housing flange openings aligned with attachment flange openings of the structure. Some of the bearing housing flange openings are slots. A first group of fasteners extends through one of the attachment flange openings and through one of the bearing housing flange openings. A second group of fasteners extends through one of the attachment flange openings and through one of the slots. The first group of fasteners are sacrificial fasteners configured to fracture in response to a load on the bearing housing exceeding a fracture load. The bearing housing is displaceable relative to the structure after fracture of the sacrificial fasteners via the second group of the fasteners moving within and relative to respective ones of the slots.

A conductive assembly may be positioned in a radial bore formed in the stator such that the conductive assembly contacts the rotor to conduct electricity from the shaft to the housing through the explosion-proof current diverting device. The explosion-proof current diverting device may be configured to define a flame path to achieve various explosion-proof certifications.

Abstract: The present invention resides in an assembly comprising a first steel component that is joined to a second steel component by a weld joint formed in a hybrid welding process, whereby at least one of the first and second steel components comprises a through-hardened bearing steel. In the hybrid welding process, base material of the first and second steel components is melted and a moulten filler material comprising at least 90% Nickel is added. The weld joint is formed after solidification of the moulten base material and of the moulten filler material. According to the invention, the weld joint comprises a central solidified portion and a peripheral solidified portion, whereby the central solidified portion comprises at least 80% filler material and the peripheral solidified portion comprises no more than 20% filler material.

Abstract: An axle disconnect assembly comprises a shaft extending axially along a central axis, a universal joint including an outer drive member having a substantially annular axial flange extending axially outwardly from the outer drive member coaxially with the central axis so as to form an annular space between the axial flange and the shaft, and a directional roller clutch disposed in the annular space. The directional roller clutch is provided for selectively drivingly coupling the shaft to the outer drive member of the universal joint. The directional roller clutch includes a plurality of rolling elements provided between the outer and inner race members. The rolling elements of the directional roller clutch radially support the outer drive member of the universal joint for rotation about to the shaft.
