  • Patent number: 11955144
Abstract: A method of generating a modified video file via a user interface presented on a mobile device including a display is disclosed. The method comprises displaying media corresponding to a first video file on a display of the mobile video device. In response to receiving an initial user input, generation of a second video file corresponding to the displayed media commences. During the displaying of the media corresponding to the first video file, user inputs to manipulate the first video file are received. The second video file is then generated from the first video file as manipulated by the user inputs. A sequence of versions of the video file may be created in a similar manner, which are selectable via a video version stack.

  • Patent number: 11887371
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a thumbnail segmentation that defines the locations on a video timeline where thumbnails are displayed. Candidate thumbnail locations are determined from boundaries of feature ranges of the video indicating when instances of detected features are present in the video. In some embodiments, candidate thumbnail separations are penalized for being separated by less than a minimum duration corresponding to a minimum pixel separation (e.g., the width of a thumbnail) between consecutive thumbnail locations on a video timeline. The thumbnail segmentation is computed by solving a shortest path problem through a graph that models different thumbnail locations and separations. As such, a video timeline is displayed with thumbnails at locations on the timeline defined by the thumbnail segmentation, with each thumbnail depicting a portion of the video associated with the thumbnail location.

The approach, for example, involves calculating, by a processor, a confidence level of one or more links of the navigation route based on a completeness of map data in an area including the navigation route. The approach also involves determining a specificity level of a navigation guidance command based on the confidence level. The approach further involves generating the navigation guidance command at the determined specificity level. The approach further involves presenting the navigation guidance command in a user interface of a navigation device.

Abstract: A method for determining edits of a subject video reel, comprising steps of opening an original EDL, reading every line of the original EDL, identifying event names representing each shot and identifying a source file. Each event includes at least a camera time code for the shot length, and a location time code indicating location of the shot in the source file. Locating events and picking up the in and out camera time codes from the shot names, noting shot names and camera times for shots found to have common in and out times, identifying every VFX shot and storing VFX names. Next, the software compares camera times for the shots in the first temporary file with camera times for the same shots in the second temporary file; preparing a result EDL file listing exclusively all VFX shots in which changes were found, and detailing the changes.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method is disclosed for providing UGC to a media production or broadcast destination for potential inclusion in a broadcast or other media distribution. Video processing parameters of the destination are provided. An application is customized using the parameters to provide a customized application without requiring any additional development for the customization. A token and a link are then transmitted to the destination. The destination accesses the link, and the customized application is downloaded along with an API to the destination. The customized application periodically polls the API for UGC and associated metadata. It then, guided by the parameters, facilitates the ingestion of the media and metadata in the proper format into the appropriate place within the downstream broadcast or media production system.

Abstract: This application discloses a multimedia file joining method performed by an apparatus. After obtaining a first video clip and a second video clip to be joined, the apparatus obtains an audio file corresponding to the first video clip and the second video clip. The audio file records the first start and end time points of the first video clip and the second start and end time points of the second video clip. The apparatus adjusts the first video clip to play the first video clip in a first time period indicated by the first and end time points, and adjusts the second video clip to play the second video clip in a second time period indicated by the second and end time points with the first time period not overlapping the second time period. Finally, the apparatus performs a joining operation on the adjusted first video clip and the adjusted second video clip, to obtain a joined video file.

Abstract: Various example implementations are directed to methods and apparatuses for facilitating conferenced communications. An example method can include receiving from a plurality of participants of a digital audio conference, audio signals from respective audio input circuits for each respective participant. A subset of the plurality of participants may be identified, as corresponding to loudest audio input compared to a remainder of the participants. At least one encoder pool may be generated by assigning each of the remainder of the participants to an encoder pool associated with a codec used by the respective audio input circuits. For each participant in the subset, digital audio packets of the loudest audio input may be separately encoded to remove feedback. Digital audio packets of the loudest audio input may be separately encoded using the at least one encoder pool, and the encoded data packets may be broadcast to the plurality of participants.

Abstract: Video information may define spherical video content having a duration. Spherical video content may define visual content viewable from a point of view as a function of progress through the spherical video content. Path information may define a path selection for the spherical video content. Path selection may include movement of a viewing window within the spherical video content. The viewing window may define extents of the visual content viewable from the point of view as the function of progress through the spherical video content. Time lapse parameter information may define at least two of a time portion of the duration, an image sampling rate, and a time lapse speed effect. A time lapse video may be generated based on the video information, the path information, and the time lapse parameter information.
