Two mutually-opposing guide rails are provided in the housing for the form-fitted insertion of the carrier. The technology is particularly applicable to carriers with LEDs as light sources and addresses problems with adhesive or soldered attachment of the light source carrier.

Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing a photographic lighting device to image acquisition by a camera such that initiation of light emission of the photographic lighting device occurs after the first shutter blade of the camera begins to expose an image acquisition sensor of the camera to light and before X-sync associated with the first shutter blade stopping movement.

Abstract: An improved lens mount and related alignment methods are provided. In one example, a lens mount includes a ring member and a base member connected with the ring member. The base member has a bottom surface. First and second coplanar mounting pads are provided on the bottom surface of the base member. In another example, a method of aligning a lens mount relative to a stage includes providing a lens mount comprising: a ring member and a base member connected with the ring member. A stage having a top surface is provided. A plurality of alignment members on a bottom surface of the base member are aligned with a corresponding plurality of apertures in the stage. The alignment members are inserted into the apertures, and first, second, and third mounting pads on the bottom surface of the base member are contacted with the top surface of the stage.

Abstract: A camera comprising an optical viewfinder with a pair of aligned front and rear lenses for viewing a subject to be photographed, and a multi-lamp flash wheel rotatable to move respective one-time-use flash lamps to a use position for illuminating the subject, is characterized in that the multi-lamp flash wheel has a lamp cover wheel which is transparent to transmit the illumination from each of the flash lamps in the use position, and the front lens is an integral centered portion of the lamp cover wheel.

Abstract: A camera comprising a light sensitive film on which a certain number of exposures can be made, and a multi-lamp flash source having a plurality of one-time-use flash lamps equal in number to the total number of exposures to be made on the film, is characterized in that the multi-lamp flash source has consecutive indicators proximate the respective lamps for indicating the number of exposures available to be made and is supported for movement to move the respective lamps from a storage to a use position for illuminating a subject to be photographed and, substantially simultaneously, to move the respective indicators from a concealed to a visible position.

Abstract: A camera for use with a first group of successive flash lamps and with a second group of successive flash lamps, comprises a flash emission window and means for moving the first lamp group relative to the second lamp group to move the respective lamps of the first lamp group to a use position at the flash emission window and for moving the first and second lamp groups in unison after the respective lamps of the first lamp group have been used in order to move the respective lamps of the second lamp group to a use position at the flash emission window.
