The ultrasound image and graphical representations of the feature (e.g., the boundary, the closed polygon) can be displayed in a user interface on a touch screen display. The method can include receiving user input indicative of a location of the feature, and adjusting the feature boundary and closed polygon based on user input. The method can also include determining an area and/or a perimeter of the feature based on the closed polygon.

    Abstract: An image forming system has a color scanner; an image processing part for processing image data obtained by reading a document by use of the color scanner; and an image forming part for forming an image on the basis of image data processed by the image processing part, wherein the color scanner reads a first original which includes a portion of a character or diagram having a first color, and a portion which is marked in a second color different from the first color so as to cover information of the character or diagram, and the image processing part edits image data of the marked portion of image data of the read first original. The editing process includes a process for rectangularizing the marked portion, and a process for connecting the rectangularized regions when the rectangularized regions are close to each other.

A toner image of the electrostatic latent image is transferred to an intermediate transfer belt. Final toner images are transferred to a transfer material together. Plural original images are synthesized and written onto the intermediate transfer belt by an image processing unit and a writing unit. A process of this image synthesis is displayed in a display of a display editor. The image processing unit and a main control panel write the synthesized images in accordance with a synthetic condition. The toner images finally formed on the intermediate transfer belt are transferred to the transfer material together. Accordingly, the images can be synthesized accurately and the color image forming apparatus can be simply constructed and can be cheaply manufactured. Color image forming methods are also shown.
