Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive body, a light scanning lamp, and a lamp controller. The image forming apparatus has a surface capable of accepting an electric potential. The light scanning lamp can scan a lamp light toward the photosensitive body to change the electric potential of the photosensitive body. The lamp controller moves between a blocking position to block the lamp light from reaching the surface of the photosensitive body, and an unblocking position that is spaced from the blocking position and allows the lamp light to reach the surface of the photosensitive body.
Abstract: In an optical discharge apparatus used in an electrographic image forming apparatus, by forming, on a light guiding member, a diffusing reflecting face for reflecting light from an LED lamp towards a photosensitive drum, and by supplementing the amount of light by altering the height of the diffusing reflecting face to the light emitting face and the width of the diffusing reflecting face in accordance with their distance from the light source, the light intensity distribution of the irradiating light that is irradiated onto the photosensitive drum is made uniform. An optical discharge apparatus may include a light guiding member arranged facing a photoreceptor; and a light source, a diffusing reflecting face for reflecting the light from the light source toward the photoreceptor is formed on the light guiding member, and a reflecting member is arranged on an upper face in the vicinity of an end portion of the light guiding member.
Abstract: A toner cartridge used with an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes a developing roller that develops an electrostatic latent image formed on an outer circumferential surface of a photosensitive drum, a toner supplying roller that supplies toner onto the developing roller, a main chamber that stores the toner, a guide member that is disposed under the toner supplying roller to receive the toner and to guide the toner toward the developing roller, a toner recovery chamber that is formed under the guide member to form a space where the toner remaining on the guide member, which is not supplied to the developing roller, can accumulate, a recovery roller that rotates in the toner recovery chamber to return the toner in the toner recovery chamber to the main chamber, and a toner blocking film that is installed on a lower portion of the guide member to prevent the toner from directly leaking to the toner recovery chamber.
