The lubricant supplying device further comprises a member that causes at least a part of the second electrode member to move and causes the second electrode member to abut the first electrode member with an increase in consumption of the lubricant.

Abstract: Methods and systems of forecasting consumption of a consumable for a machine are disclosed. A computing device receives consumption time series data for a consumable for a plurality of machines. The consumption time series data for each machine includes an amount of the consumable consumed by the machine during each of multiple time periods. For at least one of the plurality of machines, the computing device determines a model consumption forecast for the machine for each of multiple dynamic linear models based on the consumption time series data for the consumable for the machine and the dynamic linear model. The computing device further determines, for at least one of the machines, a final consumption forecast based on the model consumption forecasts. An amount of the consumable is provided for the at least one machine based on the final consumption forecast.

Abstract: According to aspects of the embodiments, there is provided an apparatus and method to detect when a consumable such as a toner bottle is replaced before end of life (EOL), throwing out toner that could be used for future printing incurs a cost. In metered accounts, the supplier incurs the cost of this waste. This disclosed process proposes monitoring the approximate rate of toner and then calculating the average amount of consumption per bottle since the last time the bottle was detected as empty. This then determines the toner consumption per bottle yield rate. Yield rate (YR) is calculated based on the estimated amount of toner delivered from a known bottle quantity at the point when the current bottle goes empty. The yield rate is displayed as a gauge on the user interface of the printer.

Providers of print services, including coverage estimations, may be identified through the Internet and selected by the user from a web interface. Alternatively, providers may register excess computing capacity with a broker. The broker matches job requests with a grid of providers and directs the job request to the matched provider(s). Thus, users of print services have an alternative to purchasing in-house computing resources that may remain idle much of the time.

The displays include a visual representation of the available capacity of each of a number of devices for the system, such as each output destination for a printer with multiple output destinations. The device capacity mimic shows the effect of jobs in progress on the available capacity, each job consuming a portion of the available capacity.
