  • Patent number: 12043999
Abstract: A drainage system for a pressure-assisted flush water tank includes a tank main body and a drainage structure. The drainage structure includes an accommodating chamber and a membrane. The accommodating chamber has a drain outlet, a water inlet, and a drainpipe. The membrane partitions the accommodating chamber into a back-pressure chamber and a drainage chamber and is provided with a supplement hole that communicates the back-pressure chamber with the drainage chamber. The drain outlet is communicated with the back-pressure chamber, while the water inlet and the drainpipe are both communicated with the drainage chamber. The tank main body defines therein a storage chamber communicated with the water inlet. The membrane moves toward or departs from the drainpipe as a pressure in the back-pressure chamber varies so as to close or open the drainpipe.

  • Patent number: 6715162
Abstract: A toilet includes a toilet bowl assembly having a toilet bowl and a trapway extending from the bottom of the toilet bowl to a sewage line. The toilet bowl has a rim channel provided along an upper perimeter portion thereof. In this toilet, the flush water flows through the rim channel in a path which is asymmetric and unidirectional along the entire perimeter portion thereof. The rim channel includes a plurality of rim openings distributed evenly along the perimeter of the rim channel. Flush water passing through the plurality of rim openings pre-wets the entire perimeter of the toilet bowl. The rim channel further includes a pair of water discharge slots which directs water directly into the toilet bowl in two powerful streams. The flush valve allowing passage of water from the water tank to the toilet bowl assembly is in the form of a valve inlet having a radiused port to generate greater energy throughput of the flush water.

  • Patent number: 6457187
Abstract: A pressurized flushing system for discharging liquid into a toilet bowl. The mechanism comprises a sealed container for storing a pre-determined volume of the liquid under pressure having an inlet for connection to a liquid supply source under pressure and an inlet valve to permit liquid flow through the inlet until the pre-determined volume in the sealed container is reached. There is an outlet for discharging liquid under pressure and an outlet valve movable between an open position to permit liquid discharge through the outlet and a closed position to seal the outlet. The outlet valve is urged by internal pressure within the sealed container toward an open position of the outlet when the pre-determined volume of liquid is in the sealed container, however, an actuator normally locks the outlet valve in the closed position against the internal pressure of the container. Operation of the actuator by a user unlocks the outlet valve to permit movement of the outlet valve to the open position.

  • Patent number: 5170514
Abstract: A system for controlling liquid flow in bathrooms and the like in response to the presence of the user, which is configuration-adjustable to permit use in preselected sanitary applications. Light emitting means cooperate with a light sensor to detect light reflected from the user. The filtered and amplified output signal from the sensor is demodulated to provide a DC output signal. First circuit means responsive to the DC output signal actuate fluid flow for a maximum preselected period, to enable use in controlling faucet flow. Second circuit means responsive to the DC signal include means for arming the circuit following the existence of the DC output signal for a first predetermined period; and means for thereupon generating a flow control signal for a second predetermined period following extinction of the DC output signal to enable use of the system to control flushing of urinals or commodes.

  • Patent number: 4707868
Abstract: A diaphragm valve for a toilet flushing mechanism, and a hydraulic flushing assembly using the valve, control water mains pressure for the pressure flushing of toilets with small quantities of water. Water mains pressure is used to retain a flexible diaphragm against the orifice through which flushing water from a pressurized tank can flow through the valve when flushing action is desired; flushing is initiated by temporarily lowering the water pressure applied to retain the diaphragm. Various designs of pressurized tank can be used to provide a constant or variable volume flush, which can be less than six quarts or liters.

By operation of a control pressure chamber formed over the outer or exterior side of the diaphragm and which operates directly by application or pressure or vacuum to the same to move the diaphragm between the open and closed position. A control valve provides the connection from the control chamber to the passenger cabin to provide operating pressure for closing the valve and is alternatively connectable to an accumulator which stores vacuum normally supplied from a source such as that applied to the downstream side of the drain. The control valve is preferably operated by a solenoid which responds to an electrical signal. A manual override system is provided for closing the valve by hand.
