  • Patent number: 5331690
Abstract: Dual control flushing mechanism enables a user to select complete or partial flush of a toilet tank. The complete flush is obtained by lifting a mobile assembly containing a float, while maintaining the float intact. The partial flush is obtained by lifting the mobile assembly and simultaneously opening the float so that it fills with water and thereafter sinks, causing a blocking valve to engage and terminate the flushing process before a full flush has been effected.

  • Patent number: 5291620
Abstract: A device for regulating the discharge of water from a storage tank associated with a toilet bowl for flushing of the toilet bowl, with the operation of the device being through slight pressure on a push button on a rod extending through a front or end wall of the storage tank. This device has a flapper assembly for opening and closing access to a drain from the storage tank, with this flapper assembly having a storage volume with an adjustable opening for controlled release of water therefrom to control the timing of the closure of the flapper assembly against the drain. A trigger assembly portion has a trigger arm with one end engaged with the push button and the other end adapted to engage a distal arm of a pivotal lever arm, this lever arm carrying a buoyant float. Release of the engagement of the distal ends of the trigger arm and the lever arm causes the lever arm to rise, due to the float, and the lever arm engages the flapper assembly to open the drain.

  • Patent number: 5265282
Abstract: The actuating device has a vertically displaceable trigger (9) which is mounted on a hood-shaped housing part (6a) of the drain valve (3). A lever (2), whose horizontal axis of rotation (5) is mounted on a float housing (6b), is pivoted with the trigger (9) in one or the other direction of rotation. To induce flushing, the trigger (9) is moved in the downward direction with a release knob (1) against the restoring force of a spring (24). The trigger (9) now engages a pivotable arm (9b), and the lever (2) is pivoted such that a valve tube (4) connected to the lever (2) is raised, and the valve opening (11i) is thus opened. If the release knob (1) is moved once again in the downward direction after a partial flushing, the trigger (9) will engage another pivot arm (2a), and the lever (2) will again be pivoted into the starting position, in which the outlet opening (11i) is closed.

  • Patent number: 4571753
Abstract: The valve piece of a toilet-tank discharge valve is moved into its open position by the release activation of an associated activating mechanism. It usually remains in this position until the flushing process is complete and the drops back into the closed position. The valve piece can also be moved back into its closed position ahead of time by discontinuance activation. The activating mechanism has a shift mechanism that can be reversed in its operating direction by a change of state in the toilet tank associated with release activation in such a way that discontinuance activation can result from renewed activation of one and the same activating mechanism in the same direction as during release activation. The device is convenient to operate and provides a wide range of possible ways of designing the operating element from the aspect of appearance. Simple remote operating devices can also be employed.

  • Patent number: 4566140
Abstract: A sanitary pan flush cistern which includes structure to permit full-flush or partial flush as required. The cistern is a conventional lidded container housing usual outlet valve on a valve-rod, a press-button in the lid to open the valve and a float-controlled water admission valve. It also houses a pot which in turn houses the outlet valve, and has a normally open doorway furnished with a lid. Linkage connects both the lid and the valve-rod to the press-button so that when the latter is pressed the valve is opened and a full flush passes the outlet valve from the pot and from the outer vessel by way of the normally-open door. When the press-button is lifted the outlet valve opens as before but the door is closed so that the flush is limited to the content of the pot. In accordance with the invention the linkage is length adjustable and the press-button preferably non-rotatable.

  • Patent number: 4557000
Abstract: A toilet-tank discharge valve has a main-valve body that can be lifted off of its face, by release-activating an auxiliary valve with an activating mechanism, as a consequence of negative water balance in an associated discharge compartment. A supplementary auxiliary valve is associated with the discharge compartment and opens at least briefly as a result of discontinuance activation of the activating mechanism, producing a positive water balance in the discharge compartment until the main-valve body closes. A valve of this type, with an auxiliary valve, makes it possible to discontinue the flushing process ahead of time. A shift mechanism in the connection between the activating mechanism and the supplementary auxiliary valve shifts the supplementary auxiliary valve from whatever limiting position it happens to be in into the opposite limiting position in response to a discontinuance activation.
