  • Patent number: 4365368
Abstract: A transparent enclosure for a bathing facility such as a bath tub, tub-shower or shower stall, comprises a domed hood cylindrically and/or spherically curved about a radius substantially matching the width of the enclosure to confine the hot moist air from the hot water within the bathing facility and to cause it to circulate around the person of the user. The hood is made of three telescoping parts for adjustment to fit different lengths of tub and shower stall installations, and a riser is provided for use where the normal top of the enclosure would provide inadequate head room if the hood were mounted directly thereon.

  • Patent number: 4364133
Abstract: A combination camper door for a camper vehicle, such as a camper shelf or pickup trucks and the like, wherein the camper door is manufactured in such manner as to define a holding tank for water. The camper door is pivotal from a substantially vertical orientation when closed to a substantially horizontal orientation when open. The camper door is provided with a valve controlled shower fitting which extends downwardly in the open position of the door and is interconnected with the water tank so that a person standing beneath the open camper door may manipulate the shower valve and drain water from the holding tank through the shower nozzle for the purpose of taking a shower bath. The camper door is provided with a fill opening interconnected with the water holding tank which is located in the upper portion of the tank in both the open and closed positions of the door, enabling filling of the water holding tank regardless of the position of the door.

  • Patent number: 4316295
Abstract: A knocked-down kit for assembling a shower stall or bath tub enclosure comprises a base panel, dome panel and three side panels, the side panels being interlocked by a split clamping tube which resiliently clamps together outwardly extending flanges along the abutting vertical edges of the side panels, and the side panels being interlocked with the base panel by a resilient flange which snaps over an outwardly extending flange along the upper periphery of the base panel as the side panels are lowered onto the base panel. The interlock between the dome and side panels is symmetrically opposite to the base-side panel interlock.

  • Patent number: 4291423
Abstract: A shower bath, sink, or other fluid receiving vessel is described wherein heat is reclaimed from the drain fluid to warm the incoming cold water to reduce the amount of hot water which must be mixed in to produce water of the temperature desired for use within the vessel. The improvement consists of a cover pan for collecting the received fluid and depositing it on a particular region of the vessel floor which is contoured to direct the received fluid along a particular channel to a drain. The cold water supply tube is positioned within the channel in contact with the draining fluid. The warmer drain fluid transfers heat energy into the cooler water flowing within the submerged cold water supply tube.

  • Patent number: 4286343
Abstract: A partition-wall arrangement comprises a hollow post which is stationary mountable on that corner of a bath or shower tub which is diagonally opposed to a room corner in which the tub is installed. The hollow post is mounted by clamping it between the tub and the room ceiling. The hollow post contains one or a pair of winding shafts at which a pair of flexible partition-walls is wound up, which can be extracted against the effect of a return spring respectively through a vertical slit or a pair of slits into directions which form a right angle with one another and can be connected in the extracted positions at opposed room walls.

  • Patent number: 4271543
Abstract: A shower device has a bar on which slide a spray head support and a manually operable grip. At least two continuous chains, one connected to the grip and another to the spray head support, pass over a respective pulley mounted at each end of the bar. At one end of the bar the pulleys of two adjacent chains are connected to rotate with one another and the pulleys at the other end of the bar rotate independently with one of the pulleys at one end of the bar over which passes the chain for the spray head having a larger diameter to vary the ratio of movement between the grip and the head.

  • Patent number: 4215444
Abstract: A doorless shower stall which confines water such that it cannot be sprayed nor splashed outside of the stall is disclosed. The stall includes a shower chamber area which is enclosed except for an entry passage to the shower chamber. Connected to the shower chamber area by the entry passage is an antechamber having a primary entry way which leads outside of the shower stall and which primary entry way is substantially perpendicular to the entry passage into the shower chamber. In a preferred embodiment, the shower stall is manufactured of molded fiberglass or other material which includes a floor which slopes such that water in the antechamber runs away from the primary entry way and through the entry passage into the shower chamber. The floor of the shower chamber is itself sloped toward a drain located at a desired location in the shower chamber. The shower stall may further include a molded fiberglass cap or ceiling to further prevent escaping moisture from causing damage outside of the shower stall.
