  • Publication number: 20110314599
Abstract: In one example embodiment, the present invention is a portable container for use in a sink. The sink has predetermined inner dimensions and a sink drain. The sink drain has an inlet with predetermined inner dimensions. The container comprises a bottom, sides, and a top opening. The container bottom has a drain. The container bottom and sides are formed with outer dimensions less than the predetermined inner dimensions of the sink such that the container may substantially fit in the sink. The container drain protrudes outwardly from the container bottom with an outlet. The outlet has outer dimensions substantially equal to or less than the predetermined inner dimensions of the sink drain inlet such that the container drain outlet may substantially fit in the sink drain inlet.

  • Patent number: 7331070
Abstract: A portable sink includes first and second storage tanks for storing clean and dirty water respectively and a concave basin between the two tanks. The sink also includes a plastic base member that supports the clean water tank above and to one side of the base and the second tank below the concave basin. A normally closed one-way depressible valve connects the basin and the second storage tank for allowing water to drain into the second tank by gravity and from preventing dirty water from being returned to the basin. The valve also includes a circular plug with an upwardly extending skirt and a coil spring within the skirt for biasing the valve into a closed position.

  • Patent number: 5661857
Abstract: An insert is provided for a wash basin in which the insert is previously molded from a sheet of plastic material so as to cover the inner section of the bowl and a part of the upper surface of the top wall surrounding the bowl. The insert has a drain opening aligned with the drain opening of the bowl and an overflow opening aligned with the overflow opening of the bowl. A drain fitting the connection to a drain line has a pipe extending from the drain opening of the insert into the drain opening of the bowl and a flange at the top of the pipe engaging an upper surface of the insert. An overflow fitting has a pipe portion extending through the overflow opening of the insert opening of the bowl with a flange inside the insert. The pipe portion has a length that it projects through the overflow opening of the bowl to an area just behind the outer surface of the bowl and a strip of flexible material of L-shaped to cross section which is bent around the overflow opening.

  • Patent number: 5414880
Abstract: The present invention relates to oil collecting structure and more particularly to a cabinet or structure for the home garage into which drain oil and fresh oil dregs may be dumped and in which it may be collected for proper ecologically sound disposal. The structure consists of a cabinet divided into a sink portion and a drainboard portion. The drainboard portion is immediately adjacent the sink portion and portions of all or some of the structure are covered by sheet metal covers or inserts. The sink and its insert are shaped to slope downwardly from the outer margins or edges towards the center where a drain aperture is provided. The sink insert drain aperture fits telescopingly within the sink portion aperture and may be adapted so that containers for the oil may be connected to it. The shaping of the sink potion and sink create troughs from the exterior margins and corners to the center drain aperture.

  • Patent number: 5361429
Abstract: A double tub bath structure includes a primary tub defining therein a water containing recess, a secondary tub smaller than the primary tub and movably disposed within the primary tub by being supported by a support plate and a hood serving as a canopy to cover the water containing recess removably secured to the primary tub. A positioning rod with a plurality of positioning holes formed thereon is secured to the support plate and is movably received within a slot formed in the primary tub. A control lever pivoted within a deep hole juxtaposing the slot is allowed to rotate relative to the positioning rod to have a retaining end thereof engage one of the positioning holes to hold the support plate at a desired position within the primary tub. Wheels may be provided on the primary tub to help moving the double tub bath. The canopy may include a net member to provide air ventilation so that the double tub bath may serve as a baby perambulator with the baby sitting or lying down in the secondary tub.
