A water supply system is within the internal cabin. The water supply system is configured to provide water to the one or more water-drawing components. A water leak detection system includes one or more sensing devices configured to detect water flow from the water supply system to the one or more water-drawing components. One or more shut-off valves are disposed on or within the water supply system. A control unit is in communication with the one or more sensing devices, the one or more shut-off valves, and the one or more water-drawing components. The control unit is configured to operate the one or more shut-off valves to stop the supply of water to the one or more water-drawing components in response to the one or more sensing devices detecting the water flow when the one or more water-drawing components are not in use.

In an alternative embodiment a water bubbler can be substituted for the eyewash. Valving mounted on the columnar structure, preferably with an angle oriented at an acute angle to the axis of the column, controls the temperature of water supplied to the faucet. Cold, or slightly tempered, water is supplied to the eyewash.

In one embodiment, the system disables automated dispensers in a room of a medical facility based upon health condition data of a patient resident in the room. In another embodiment, the system enables automated dispensers upon receipt of data identifying user types authorized to use the dispenser that are associated with wearable tags in proximity to the dispensers. In still another embodiment, the system controls the order in which automated dispensers are enabled in order to facilitate compliance with workflow procedures for a facility.

The ligature-resistant adjustable faucet control includes a fixable seating element and a control knob at least partially rotatable received in the seating element. The control knob is connected to a mixing valve so that rotation of said control knob controls the mixing valve and, in turn, adjusts the temperature of water dispensed from the faucet.

Abstract: A sink insert for cleaning a medical device having a lumen, such as an endoscope, includes a basin and a pump connected to the basin. Abstract: A lavatory system is disclosed including one or more integrated hand washing stations. Each hand washing station includes a basin, a faucet, a solenoid valve configured to control water flow to the faucet, and an electric hand dryer located adjacent the basin and the faucet so that the user of the washing station may use the faucet and the electric hand dryer without leaving the washing station. The electric hand dryer preferably includes an outlet to direct air across the associated basin so that any water that drips from the user's hands fall within the basin. A control system may be provided to control activation of the fixtures such as the solenoid valve, the electric hand dryer, and/or soap dispenser. The control system may be configured to inhibit simultaneous activation of the solenoid valve and the hand dryer. A photovoltaic system may be provided to provide power.

Abstract: A self-rimming sink is provided. The self-rimming sink includes a basin and a rim extending outwardly from an upper end of the basin in a relatively horizontal orientation. The rim is configured to be placed on top of a countertop for supporting the sink. The self-rimming sink also includes an apron coupled to the rim and defining a front portion of the sink. The apron has a front surface extending vertically below the rim and laterally between a first side surface and an opposite second side surface. The first and second side surfaces each having a front vertical lip that extends laterally to an outer periphery of the rim and a rear side wall portion. Abstract: Food preparation sinks are disclosed which have an integral raised work area that is rinsed by an automatic system. Food waste or the like present in that area can be washed into a sump above a drain, and the weight of the waste and water in the sump is enough to automatically drive them through a baffle to a garbage disposal, without requiring the baffle to be manually opened. An automatic controller system coordinates water flow and garbage disposal operation, and the water supply can be linked to the sink below the sink rim to save counter top space. In some forms multiple rinsing nozzles are provided which pulse in altering fashion.

The eyewash and/or facewash streams are produced by an eyewash body adapted for rotatable mounting onto a water supply conduit, with a locking clip normally preventing undesired rotational disassembly. The eyewash body may be used in combination with an overhead emergency shower which, in one preferred form, includes a shower spray head carrying multiple flow control and flow shaper elements to produce a substantially uniformly dispersed shower spray pattern.

In one highly preferred form the layer is electroplated in a non-uniform manner such that high wear areas automatically receive an extra thickness of the chrome. The layer improves stain resistance and scratch resistance well beyond what conventional chromium mixed throughout the stainless steel itself will do. Processes for applying the layer are also described, as are the effects of different brushing finishes.
