Abstract: The invention provides a drain and overflow assembly for a tub having a drain opening and a overflow opening, including a main drainage pipe, a drain fitting having a drain inlet end configured to be connected to the drain opening and a drain outlet end configured to be connected to the main drainage pipe, a trap, an overflow receiving hub disposed between the trap and the drain inlet end, and a multi-purpose fitting including an overflow path having an overflow inlet end configured to be connected to the multi-purpose opening and an overflow outlet end configured to be connected to the overflow receiving hub, the multi-purpose fitting further including a cleanout path having a cleanout inlet end configured to be connected to the multi-purpose opening and a cleanout pipe end configured to be connected to the main drainage pipe.
Abstract: An upward discharge waste device for a shower tray, comprises a hollow housing having a waste water inlet, a waste water outlet and a flow-channel for waste water between the waste water inlet and the waste water outlet; and a mounting element for mounting the waste device over a waste outlet of the shower tray. The flow-channel has a non-uniform transverse cross-sectional shape along the longitudinal extent from the waste water inlet and towards the waste water outlet, but has a uniform or substantially uniform transverse cross-sectional area along the longitudinal extent. A shower tray having the waste device is also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus for preventing water leak damage from a bath fixture, the apparatus comprising a first side wall, a second side wall, a first end wall, a second end wall, a top wall, a bottom wall sloping downwardly to an outlet wherein the first and second side walls, the first and second end walls, the top wall, and the bottom wall define a compartment therebetween and wherein the water source pipes of the bath fixture extend upwardly through the bottom wall. The apparatus further includes a waterproof covering that covers the entire inside surfaces of the compartment, and a drain element that connect the outlet of the bottom wall to a drain pipe of the bath fixture. The apparatus may also include at least one removable panel to provide access to water source pipes disposed within the compartment.
Abstract: A tub filler and overflow combination device is supported within a common opening formed in a tub wall. Both a flow passage and a drain passage extend through the body of the device to communicate through the common opening in the tub wall. A backflow preventer of the flow passage is slidably removable through the flow outlet for readily servicing the components of the backflow preventer as desired. The flow inlet is parallel and opposite to the flow outlet for ease of manufacturing and for ease of installation into a bathtub.
Abstract: An automatic liquid shut-off system for a vessel and having a valve in a liquid passageway to control the level of liquid in the vessel so as to prevent an overflow of the liquid. The shut-off system comprises a conduit extending exterior from one wall of the vessel and in liquid communication therewith. A float is disposed in the conduit, and a stem extends from the float co-axially with the conduit, and is affixed to the valve to actuate the valve to a closed position. When the liquid level in the vessel rises to an undesired level, and the liquid in the vessel therefore reaches a level approximately the level of the float, the liquid acting upon the float will actuate the valve to a closed position, thereby shutting off the liquid.

Abstract: A system for automatically purging residual water from the whirlpool plumbing of a whirlpool bath. The system includes a bathtub, a primary water inlet in hydraulic communication with the bathtub, a primary water outlet in hydraulic communication with the bathtub, a plunger actuatable to engage the primary water outlet to prevent water flow through the primary water outlet. When the bathtub is filled with water the plunger is automatically disengaged for a predetermined length of time to flush the water manifold, the water manifold conduit, the at least one water delivery conduit and the at least one jet nozzle. Also, when the bathtub is substantially drained, the air pump may be actuated to introduce air into the at least one jet nozzle, the at least one suction fitting, the water manifold, the at least one water delivery conduit, and the at least one hydraulic suction conduit to purge residual water therefrom.
Abstract: A stopper for selectively blocking a drain to the passage of water. The drain has an inlet, an outlet and a substantially cylindrical throat between the inlet and outlet. A control means is provided for selectively feeding control fluid under hydraulic pressure to the cylindrical throat whereupon an expandable bladder located within the cylindrical throat selectively expands in fluid communication with the control fluid to block the drain and thus act as a stopper.
