    Abstract: A kinetic sculpture system for powering one or more kinetic sculptures by an updraft to drive the one or more kinetic sculptures in a forward direction along a looped path. The kinetic sculpture system generally includes a pair of kinetic sculptures which are suspended over an updraft source by a hanging structure. Each of the kinetic sculptures includes a main body and a pair of wings pivotably attached to the main body. Each of the wings of each of the kinetic sculptures includes a front edge which is downwardly angled with respect to a rear edge such that the updraft from the updraft source catches upon the front edge to drive the kinetic sculptures forward along a looped path. In this manner, the kinetic sculptures may be driven along a fixed path around the updraft source without outside intervention.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, apparatus and methods for deterring birds and other animals from structures such as but not limited to cell towers, communications towers, buildings and areas to be protected. An effigy of the species to be deterred is suspended from an upper suspending structure and a lower suspending structure. The effigy can be molded or otherwise produced from rubber, plastic, or any other suitable material. The effigy can contain an internal supporting structure attached to a first cable and a second cable for suspending from the suspending structures. Either of the cables, or both, can include tensioning lines. Other embodiments include hangers and stands that can be attached to structures such as towers, buildings and the like. A C shaped hanger can be used for hanging an effigy which allows for the effigy to be able to move, such as rotate and simulate a live bird.

    Abstract: The present invention is an aerodynamic wind riding antenna ornament comprising a main body adapted to be rotatably and slidably attached to an antenna mast. The main body has an aerodynamic lifting surface to harness airflow from the movement of a vehicle to move the ornament up and down the antenna mast. The main body also has an aperture of sufficient size to allow for the device to freely slide up and down an antenna mast. Retaining means is removably coupled to the aerodynamic lifting surface near the aperture to prevent the aerodynamic wind riding antenna ornament from sliding off the top of the antenna. The retaining means can comprise a snap-on clip, spring-like clip, or a portion of an ornamental figure removably coupled to the main body. Optional stopper clamps can be removably coupled to the antenna to restrict where the device travels on the antenna. The device can have optically perceived indicia to increase the appearance.

    Abstract: Kites and airfoils designed in such fashion that the possibilities to observe the process by which the kite or airfoil is made airborne are maximized.Each time a gust of wind appears, the kite or airfoil rises automatically up a fixed pole which passes through it, without further direct intervention. When the airflow or wind abates, the kite or airfoil descends the pole, and rests on a restraining device located on the pole at a level higher than its lower-most level until the next gust of wind or an increase in the airflow lifts the kite or airfoil up again, and so on. The restriction of the pole also keeps the kite or airfoil within a short distance of the observer who can have a closer and better view of the process of ascension of the kite or airfoil up the pole.The applications of this invention include scientific instruments, childrens's toys and advertising devices. One embodiment of the invention is a kite which is designed to use the radio antenna of an automobile as its pole.
