Patent number: 11532249Abstract: A kinetic sculpture system for powering one or more kinetic sculptures by an updraft to drive the one or more kinetic sculptures in a forward direction along a looped path. The kinetic sculpture system generally includes a pair of kinetic sculptures which are suspended over an updraft source by a hanging structure. Each of the kinetic sculptures includes a main body and a pair of wings pivotably attached to the main body. Each of the wings of each of the kinetic sculptures includes a front edge which is downwardly angled with respect to a rear edge such that the updraft from the updraft source catches upon the front edge to drive the kinetic sculptures forward along a looped path. In this manner, the kinetic sculptures may be driven along a fixed path around the updraft source without outside intervention.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2021Date of Patent: December 20, 2022Inventors: Jeffrey C. Patent number: 11350623Abstract: Systems, devices, apparatus and methods for deterring birds and other animals from structures such as but not limited to cell towers, communications towers, buildings and areas to be protected. An effigy of the species to be deterred is suspended from an upper suspending structure and a lower suspending structure. The effigy can be molded or otherwise produced from rubber, plastic, or any other suitable material. The effigy can contain an internal supporting structure attached to a first cable and a second cable for suspending from the suspending structures. Either of the cables, or both, can include tensioning lines. Other embodiments include hangers and stands that can be attached to structures such as towers, buildings and the like. A C shaped hanger can be used for hanging an effigy which allows for the effigy to be able to move, such as rotate and simulate a live bird.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2020Date of Patent: June 7, 2022Inventor: Russell S. Patent number: 10183562Abstract: A container is located within a vehicle. The container having a chamber there within and an opening to provide access to the chamber. The cover has a central portion positionable over the upper extent of a vehicle. The cover has a periphery, a front edge, a left edge, a right edge, and a rear edge. The rear edge includes a tail of a reduced width terminating in an interior point within the chamber. A plurality of suction cups are attached to the periphery of the cover along the front edge, rear edge, left edge and right edge. The suction cups are removably coupleable to the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2017Date of Patent: January 22, 2019Inventor: Marwan Ahmed Mohammed Yafouz

Patent number: 7331131Abstract: A display assembly for removably mounting to a vehicle. The display assembly includes a base member having opposite end portions and an accessory item having a predetermined configuration such that when the vehicle reaches a sufficient speed the accessory item rises a distance above an adjacent surface of the vehicle. The display assembly includes a releaseable connection between the accessory item and an end portion of the base member.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2005Date of Patent: February 19, 2008Inventor: Terrance Staples

Patent number: 6598556Abstract: The present invention is an aerodynamic wind riding antenna ornament comprising a main body adapted to be rotatably and slidably attached to an antenna mast. The main body has an aerodynamic lifting surface to harness airflow from the movement of a vehicle to move the ornament up and down the antenna mast. The main body also has an aperture of sufficient size to allow for the device to freely slide up and down an antenna mast. Retaining means is removably coupled to the aerodynamic lifting surface near the aperture to prevent the aerodynamic wind riding antenna ornament from sliding off the top of the antenna. The retaining means can comprise a snap-on clip, spring-like clip, or a portion of an ornamental figure removably coupled to the main body. Optional stopper clamps can be removably coupled to the antenna to restrict where the device travels on the antenna. The device can have optically perceived indicia to increase the appearance.Type: GrantFiled: December 26, 2001Date of Patent: July 29, 2003Assignee: Jim McCafferty Productions, Inc.Inventor: Ron Peters

Patent number: 5182146Abstract: An air speed indicator (10) for use in combination with a vehicle (20) having an exterior surface (18). The indicator (10) comprises a shaft (12) mounted to the vehicle (20) by a means of a mounting member (16) such that the shaft (12) is angled away from the direction of relative airflow (50). A propeller (14) is mounted on the shaft (12) through a tapered opening (32) that enables the propeller (14) to precess on the shaft (12) and thereby change the axis of rotation with consequent changes in the direction of movement of the propeller (14) on the shaft (12). Decorative and ornamental features include the retaining member (26) at the top end of the shaft (12) and beads (52) mounted above and below the propeller (14).Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 1991Date of Patent: January 26, 1993Inventor: Robert S. Patent number: 5027539Abstract: Kites and airfoils designed in such fashion that the possibilities to observe the process by which the kite or airfoil is made airborne are maximized. Each time a gust of wind appears, the kite or airfoil rises automatically up a fixed pole which passes through it, without further direct intervention. When the airflow or wind abates, the kite or airfoil descends the pole, and rests on a restraining device located on the pole at a level higher than its lower-most level until the next gust of wind or an increase in the airflow lifts the kite or airfoil up again, and so on. The restriction of the pole also keeps the kite or airfoil within a short distance of the observer who can have a closer and better view of the process of ascension of the kite or airfoil up the pole. The applications of this invention include scientific instruments, childrens's toys and advertising devices. One embodiment of the invention is a kite which is designed to use the radio antenna of an automobile as its pole.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1989Date of Patent: July 2, 1991Inventor: Jean F.
