  • Patent number: 7766227
Abstract: A transaction card includes a base member, an auxiliary member and an account identifier. The base member defines a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface and a slot extending therethrough. The auxiliary member includes a first section and a handle section and is coupled with the base member such that the first section is disposed on the first surface of the base member. The handle section extends from the first surface, through the slot and to the second surface of the base member such that movement of the handle section causes movement of the auxiliary member relative to the base member. The account identifier is included on one of the base member and the auxiliary member and links the transaction card to at least one of an account and a record.

  • Patent number: 6601326
Abstract: A repositionable display system in the shape of a human figure that can be used to communicate information by holding signs or by making simple gestures; or it can be used to support various items such as clothing or accessories. The repositionable display is in the shape of a life-size human form comprising a head, torso, arms, and legs. A two-pin connection forms each shoulder and hip joint, thereby allowing for positioning of the arm and legs in multiple planes. A single-pin connection forms the wrist, elbow, and knee joints. Each of the pin connections are removable, thereby allowing for assembly and disassembly of the repositionable display system. A stand may be provided to maintain the repositionable display system in a substantially upright position. Cedar wood may be used to construct the repositionable display system which assists in repelling insects while emitting a pleasing aroma.

  • Patent number: 6386943
Abstract: A puppet mechanism for moving two legs of a puppet includes an output shaft rotatably extending from a gear box and engaged with a gear reduction device in the gear box. Two disks are respectively connected two ends of the output shaft and each disk has an eccentric protrusion extending therefrom. Two swing members are pivotally connected to two sides of the gear box and each swing member has a slot in which the eccentric protrusion is movably engaged. The swing members are inserted in the two legs of the puppet and are swung when the disks rotate.

  • Patent number: 5735726
Abstract: An animated character such as a Santa figure which is capable of moving repeatedly from a sitting to a standing position, and also producing vocal speaking or singing sounds synchronized with movements of the character. The character includes a body having a torso casing containing an electric motor and multiple gears, a head-piece capable of making side-to-side nodding motions, and multiple lever members provided on opposite sides of the casing and pivotably connected together so as to produce the repeated standing motions of the character from a sitting position. Operation of the character is controlled by an electric circuit which is operated either manually or from a light-sensitive switch which can sense motion of any nearby moving object or person and activate movements of the character.

  • Patent number: 5443188
Abstract: A system for simulating human gait embodied as a human-like model, for example, a mannequin, a scarecrow and the like depending on the intended application of the system, driven by a driving system along a pair of tracks. The driving system includes rotatable terminals for reversing the direction of advancement of the model. The model has legs which are pivotally connected to one another in a spaced alignment at a waist enabling a scissor-like action during the step-by-step advancement of the model along the tracks. The waist includes a balancing mechanism for maintaining a substantially even keel of the model during the gait-like motion. Furthermore, the legs include an upper segment pivotally connected at a knee-like joint to a lower segment such the legs have a tendency for a flexion movement and urging mechanisms for straightening them. Still further, the legs terminate in feet pivotally connected thereto which are provided with front and rear shock absorbers for smoothing the gait-like motion.
