Abstract: A display assembly in the form of a supporting shell that mounts the assembly in an upright display panel in a matrix configuration. A disk assembly is pivoted to each shell and includes a thin disk movable about a transverse horizontal axis. The disk is moved by magnetic forces between a reflective position exposing one disk surface to the front of the panel, a closed condition exposing its opposite surface to the front of the panel, and a backlighted condition which is intermediate the other two.

Abstract: A reversible, portable direction indicating sign for use in road construction and maintenance work includes an upper indicia bearing panel rigidly attached to and spaced from an upright member and a lower indicia bearing panel rotatably mounted on the upright member. The lower indicia bearing panel includes an arrow imprinted thereon which can be pointed to the right or to the left by rotating the second indicia bearing panel. The word "KEEP" is printed on the upper indicia bearing panel. The word "LEFT" is printed on the lower indicia bearing panel beneath the arrow when the arrow points to the left. The word "RIGHT" is printed on the lower indicia bearing panel beneath the arrow when the arrow points to the right. When the arrow points to the right the portion of the lower indicia bearing panel on which the inverted word "LEFT" is imprinted in located in the space between the upright member and the upper indicia bearing member, so that the word "LEFT" is covered thereby.

Abstract: A contact lens disinfector unit (10) includes a housing, heating means (20) within the housing and arranged to heat the contact lens case (21) and the contact lenses therein to a disinfecting temperature and for terminating the application of heat thereafter to allow the contact lenses to cool, and temperature indicating means (30) that includes a partially opaque viewing window (17) formed in the housing, a movable member (36) having a substantially planar surface (37) which includes temperature indicia corresponding to a "HOT" condition of the lens case, and a bi-metallic member (32) responsive to the temperature of the heating means (20) for moving the movable member planar surface toward and away from window (17) to indicate the "HOT" condition or a condition where the lens case is cool enough for handling.

Abstract: A package for strips of chewing gum, sweets, food, and other chewable and edible articles which are wrapped individually into flat packets arranged one above the other. Each of the packets at one end thereof is provided with an extension projecting in the longitudinal direction of the packet and beyond the content of the packet. Each extension has a hole therethrough through which extends a common pivot member which at its ends has a head or the like to keep the packets on the pivot member while all of the packets are pivotable about the common pivot member.

Abstract: A hoop-shaped device for displaying information such as the name of a football or basketball team is disclosed. A ball-shaped member is attached to the center portion of the device, and this ball member may be convertible from the shape of a football to that of a basketball, for example. A series of creases are provided in the hoop portion for ease of installation on uneven surfaces.

Abstract: A compact color sample display device is disclosed which includes a plurality of discrete strips each of which has one or more color samples thereon, such as paint color samples. The strips are supported in stacked relation on a support shaft which is slidable within a rectangular tubular case such that the strips may be disposed within the case or moved to an outward position and selectively fanned to facilitate display and selection of sample colors.

Abstract: A plurality of elongated generally rectangular panel members are provided and include first and second sets of corresponding ends. A pivot fastener is secured through and pivotally joins one set of corresponding ends of the panel members together for relative angular displacement of the panel members. The panel members are swingable from a compact position with the panel members in full registry with each other and positions with at least one of the panel members angularly displaced relative to the remaining panel members. A spacing and friction washer is disposed between each pair of adjacent panel members and about the pivot fastener whereby the panel members may be frictionally retained in relatively angularly displaced positions. Each panel member is white in color and has word defining letters formed on its opposite sides with light reflective material of a color other than white.
