The placard fastener includes a retaining arm including a placard engagement portion and a retaining tab. The placard fastener further includes a base including a first spring arm including a first downwardly extending claw, a second spring arm including a second downwardly extending claw, and an elongate portion positioned between the first spring arm and the second spring arm. The first spring arm and the elongate portion form a first cavity. The second spring arm and the elongate portion form a second cavity. The retaining tab is positioned within the first cavity and the second cavity.

    Abstract: A display device comprises at least first, second and third plates each having forward and rearward surfaces wherein the second plate is rearward of the first plate, and the third plate is rearward of the second plate. A biasing member permits relative movement of adjacent plates between retracted and expanded positions upon pulling the first plate forwardly. The retracted plates are in registration with one another whereby generally only the forward surface of the first plate is exposed for viewing information to be displayed thereon from a position generally forward of the display device. The plates in the expanded position are biased toward the retracted position and oriented such that the forward surface of the first plate, the rearward surface of the second plate and the forward surface of the third plate are exposed for viewing information to be displayed thereon from a position generally forward of the display device.

    Abstract: A plurality of flexible strips are included in a changeable character display device. Each strip has a series of display portions that are longitudinally arranged on a strip. A guide panel of the device includes respective pairs of apertures arranged laterally in a row. Each respective pair of apertures is associated with a respective one of the flexible strips. Each flexible strip is arranged to have a viewable display portion situated between the individual ones of the associated pair of apertures whereby the respective displayed portions of the plurality of strips form lateral rows. The non-displayed portions of the respective flexible strips extend rearwardly through the associated pair of apertures. A guide channel member includes a laterally-extending channel that receives the non-displayed portions of the flexible strips and clusters them together in a lateral direction.
