Abstract: A sign mounting for mounting a sign on top of a barrier post that includes a body having an inner side for positioning against a barrier post and an outer side for supporting a sign; and a mounting channel formed on the inner side of the body. The mounting channel allows the sign mounting to be mounted onto and supported by a spline of the barrier post. The mounting channel is open at a lower end and closed at an upper end and has a relatively narrow vertical opening at an inner side extending from the lower end to the upper end for a spline to extend through, and a relatively wider inner portion extending laterally beyond the opening on each side of the vertical opening within which a spline can be positioned. The sign mounting may form part of a mounting kit that includes a barrier post.

Abstract: A sign having a display section and a support member that can be removably secured to the display section. The support may be secured within a pocket or receptacle formed in the display section. The pocket may be created in the display section by portions of adhesive, including hot melt adhesive and pressure sensitive adhesive. The pocket allows a smaller support member than conventional wire frames while holding the display section above the ground at a height similar to conventional frames.

Abstract: The invention includes systems, devices, and methods of using a novel movable display apparatus that may be particularly adapted to secure one or more advertising displays, such as a sign, banner or helium-free balloon, and may further be configured to move independently in response to an external force.

Abstract: A flag type warning marker consisting of two parts—a flag supported by a uniquely shaped flagstaff to be inserted into the ground directly above underground utility lines to mark their location. By the unique shape of the flagstaff, the marker also indicates the direction or path of the utility lines. The flagstaff includes one C-shaped offset segment projecting outwardly from the vertical flagstaff in the direction of the associated utility lines path. In another embodiment of the invention, there are two separate offset segments oriented at ninety degrees to one another to designate a ninety degree corner of the utility lines below. Another offset segment of the flagstaff near the lower end of the staff can be added and be partially embedded into the ground to anchor the marker in order to prevent it from rotation after installation, thus maintaining the integrity of the directional indication.

Abstract: A post flag system includes a mounting tube and a flag. The mounting tube has a post section and a mounting section separated by a bend. The post section of the mounting tube goes over the upper end of a vertical post. The post section has an annular cross section of constant inner diameter greater than the outer dimension of the post to receive the upper end of the vertical post. The bend orients the mounting section at a mounting tube angle with respect to the post section. The flag has a surface displaying indicia and an edge coupled to the mounting section of the mounting tube. The mounting tube angle is preferably in the range of 90 to 100 degrees. A method of assembling a post flag system is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a joint device (9) for mounting a sign post (95) or the like, comprising a first member (1) being connectable to a basis (99), and a second member (2) being connectable to a base portion (96a) of the sign post (95). A linkage (3) connects the first member (1) to the second member (2) such that the second member (2) is movable with respect to the first member (1) between an alignment position and a tilting position. A restoring means (4) which comprises an elastic element (40) and a deforming element (45) for cooperation with the elastic element (40) returns the two members (1, 2) towards the alignment position. The elastic element (40) is received in an interior pipe storage space (25) which is recessed in the first member (1) and the second member (2).

Abstract: A tamper resistant apparatus for removable retention of a memorial marker such as those found at a grave site. The apparatus includes a locking mechanism housed within a cylinder. The cylinder has a cover intended for use exposed to the environment. The cylinder is attached to a footing plate that provides lateral stability during placement of the apparatus in the ground. Horizontal gripping within the ground is provided by a helical anchor attached to the footing plate. The locking mechanism includes a latch which may be moved into and out of a notch in the post of the memorial marker to respectively retain and release the marker from the apparatus.

Abstract: A sign post system includes an elongated slide spike, and an impact anvil mounted to the slide spike at a location intermediate the spike ends. An elongated slide hammer column assembly slides onto the slide spike to contact the impact anvil while using the slide spike as a guide to deliver a force to the slide spike to drive the slide spike into the ground. A hollow sign post structure is configured to slide over the slide spike and cover at least a portion of the slide spike above the impact anvil, the slide spike and sign post configured to support a sign structure after installation. In an exemplary embodiment, the system parts are fabricated of plastic materials.

Abstract: A multi-purpose reversible target includes a target body having a first side and a second side, a plurality of target areas printed on the first side of the target body, and a plurality of tabs integral with the target body and on the second side of the target body. A stand includes an elongated body having a top end and an opposite bottom end, the bottom end configured for insertion into ground and at least one holder comprising a first loop and a second operatively connected to the first loop to thereby allow for friction fit of an edge of signage between the first loop and the second loop.

Abstract: A flagpole includes a stanchion, a footer disposed at a bottom of the stanchion to be embedded in a surface, an upper segment disposed adjacent to atop end of the stanchion, and a lower segment disposed adjacent to the upper segment at a distance further from the top end of the stanchion than the upper segment. A curved segment connects the top end of the stanchion to the lower segment. A plurality of alphanumeric characters are disposable on the upper segment. The upper segment includes a material attractive to a magnetized material, and the alphanumeric characters include the magnetized material therein an that the alphanumeric characters are removably attachable to the upper segment.

Abstract: A stake for holding a sign upright and comprising two parallel and spaced apart elongated legs, formed of a lower structure, with one end of each leg being driving into the ground, and with the upper side rails of the structure provided for supporting a sign in place, above the ground. A laterally applied cross rail secured by welding or otherwise to the upright side rails. The lower structure is formed of two side pieces, integrally bent to also form a cross member, and having the side rails welded thereto, for forming the entire sign stake. The lower structure is formed of square or rectangular metal stake and forms a flattened step to facilitate application of the stake into the ground.

Abstract: A kit for suspending a sign is disclosed herein. The kit includes first and second column anchors operable to be mounted in the ground. Each column anchor has a plurality of fins facing in different directions from one another and a conical tip. The kit also includes first and second columns individually receivable in one of the first and second column anchors and selectively removable. Each of the columns has a plurality of through-apertures. The kit also includes a plurality of sets of eye-bolts and nuts, each individually receivable in one of the plurality of through-apertures. The kit also includes a plurality of cable members having latches or S-hooks at both ends and a stretchable member extending between the latches or S-hooks.

Abstract: A single pass process and apparatus for manufacturing a folded yard sign from a pre-cut sheet previously coated on both sides with a fusible polymer includes the steps of printing an image on an outside of the sheet, curing the image, scoring the printed sheet, folding the scored sheet, ultrasonically sealing regions along side edges of the folded sheet, and stacking the sealed sheets, which are finished sign products ready for packaging. The ultrasonic sealing fuses the polymer coated inside surfaces along the edges of the folded sheet. The sealed side edges form a sign support receiving pocket in the finished sign member in cooperation with a folded edge of the sign member.

Abstract: An apparatus for impact insertion in and extraction from the ground includes a core with an upper section adapted for mounting a device, such as a sign, and a lower section with a pointed lower end. A reduced-diameter guide shaft extends between the upper and lower sections. An impact sleeve assembly includes a hollow tube and impact collar fixedly mounted therein. The core is reciprocally received in the sleeve with the impact collar adapted for sliding on the guide shaft between the core upper and lower sections for impacting same on extraction and insertion strokes respectively.

Abstract: A hammer hanger is useful for hanging objects off the ground. The hammer hanger includes a Slide hammer tube that impacts a stake to insert the stake into and remove it from the ground. The slide hammer comprises a slide hammer tube that is slidingly captured on the stake. A spade of the stake prevents the hammer hanger from tipping in soft or wet soil. One or more arms are pivotally held on the slide hammer tube for folding and unfolding. Objects are hangable on the unfolded arms. The arms may have hooks that are specially constructed to hang archery bows. The slide hammer may be one or more slide hammer tubes that are releasably lockable to each other for assembling and disassembling the tubes. A stop on the stake coats with the slide hammer tube to prevent the slide hammer tube from rotating on the stake.

Abstract: A fastener for temporarily fastening a length of wire to the ground includes a U-shaped member having leg portions, a bridge portion bridging the leg portions, and a mount portion arranged at one end of the bridge portion. An interior surface defined by the bridge of the U-shaped member captures the wire when the leg portions are inserted into the ground.

Abstract: A gravesite memorial display includes a shell structured to provide a weathertight interior. The shell is constructed of at least one fixed portion, at least one movable portion, and a transparent portion. The transparent portion enables items placed within the interior of the display to be viewed by nearby individuals. The movable portion, which is movably coupled to the fixed portion is arranged to be movable between a closed position, wherein the interior is sealed, and an open position, providing access to the interior. When in the open position, an individual may place items for display purposes within the weathertight interior and or remove items from the interior.

Abstract: A device used to hold/support a target or multiple targets in the ground for the purpose of target shooting with firearms, air guns, and the like.
