Abstract: A frame apparatus for displaying a flat article and a combined frame apparatus and flat article. In one aspect, the frame apparatus includes an annular display frame defining a rabbet, a stack positioned in the rabbet, and a spacer assembly. The rabbet is defined by a floor and a wall, the wall including a channel. The spacer assembly may have a rigid portion and a compressible portion. The spacer assembly is positioned in the rabbet with the compressible portion of the spacer assembly extending into the channel in the wall to couple the spacer assembly to the annular display frame. The spacer assembly may also be in contact with the stack to hold the stack in the rabbet.

Abstract: A picture frame used to receive a painting includes a front cover and a rear cover. The front cover has a front side and a surrounding wall enclosing the front side. The front cover forms a rear opening opposite to the front side and the front side is provided with a window. The rear cover is snapped around the rear opening of the front cover. The rear cover protrudes towards the window to form a rear frame in the front cover. The paining is clamped between the front cover and the rear frame and is exposed in the window.

Abstract: A frame apparatus for displaying a flat article and a combined frame apparatus and flat article. In one aspect, the frame apparatus comprises an annular display frame, a transparent front panel, a rear panel, and an annular spacer frame. The annular display frame comprises a rabbet defined by a floor and a wall, the wall comprising a first engagement portion and a second engagement portion. The annular spacer frame is coupled to the first and second engagement portions of the annular display frame by interaction between a first and second locking member of the annular spacer frame and the first and second engagement portions of the annular display frame. The first and second locking members extend into the first and second engagement portions and apply a compression force to retain a flat article between the transparent front panel and the rear panel.

Abstract: A sign assembly includes a base material, a filmic substrate imaged with a design, and a sign assembly frame that includes a sign framing member of fixed position in relation to the base material. The sign framing member includes a projecting portion terminating at an inside edge of the sign framing member. The display sign is adhered to the base material. The inside edge of the sign framing member is located within the projected area of the display sign and is spaced from the base material and the filmic substrate. The display sign is capable of being applied through an opening defined by the inside edge of the sign framing member. The space between the inside edge of the projecting portion and the display sign includes a void.

Abstract: A garage door window has an outside frame member which has an inside frame member connection. The inside frame member has a protrusion connecting with the inside frame member connection. There is also an outside retainer channel, an inside retainer channel and an outside retainer fitting within the outside retainer channel, with an inside retainer fitting with the inside retainer channel. The inside retainer is nondestructively removable relative the inside retainer channel by a snap fit. An outside track is formed on the outside frame member, between a central inside face of the outside frame member and the outside retainer. An inside track is formed on the outside frame member, between the outside retainer and the inside retainer. A screen is mounted on the outside track, a fixed window mounted on the outside track; and an active window is mounted on the inside track.

Abstract: A picture frame assembly incorporates an outer frame and a backing member having at least one laterally extending resilient groove engaging edge protrusion that cooperates with a receiving groove circumscribed, formed, or cast in a back picture opening rabbet return of the outer frame to secure an artwork within the picture frame assembly. Preferably, the backing member has a plurality of resilient groove engaging edge protrusions with each resilient groove engaging edge protrusion cooperating with a receiving groove to secure an artwork within the outer frame. In use, each laterally extending resilient groove engaging edge protrusion is laterally compressed and then rebounds into close engagement with the receiving groove whereby the backing member is secured within the outer frame behind the artwork.

Abstract: Windows and other articles made from dimethyl bisphenol cyclohexane (DMBPC) polycarbonate exhibit enhanced scratch resistance properties and Mw degradation resistance properties as compared to traditional polycarbonates. Such windows and other articles made from DMBPC polycarbonate can be used in various applications including buildings, particularly in agricultural environments and in electronic devices.

Abstract: A film holder includes a base, a cover, and a flattening mechanism. The base has a film panel for receiving a film and a plurality of sliding slots formed at its two opposite sides. The cover is mounted on the base and is slidable on the base in a first direction, and at least one side of the cover is provided with a recess. The flattening mechanism is fit on the recess to flatten the film on the base by the slide of the cover in the first direction after the cover is mounted on the base. The flattening mechanism includes a sliding rod, at least one resilient member, a contact plate, and a plurality of cylindrical parts formed on the bottom of the sliding rod.

Abstract: A film cut into a screen is correctly and easily fitted onto a slide mount. For this purpose, the slide mount is formed by joining a mount and a cover together, and windows are opened in the central portions of the mount and the cover, respectively. A film-placing portion is provided surrounding the window of the mount, and positioning pins are studded at four corners of the film-placing portion so as to be corresponded to engaging holes at both side portions of the film. Positioning holes are perforated in the periphery of the window of the cover at positions opposed to the positioning pins. The film is placed on the film-placing portion, and the positioning holes of the cover are brought into engagement with the positioning pins of the mount while the cover is being depressed onto the film. Then, the engaging holes of the film engage with the positioning pins, and the film is correctly fitted onto the slide mount.

Abstract: A post plastic lens photographic slide mount made from a plastic slide mount includes a first and second plastic frame portions connected along an outer border with a pocket into which a photographic film slide can be inserted. A top plastic lens and a bottom plastic lens that can be introduced to the plastic slide mount. The plastic lenses can be added at the same time the photographic film slide is inserted into the plastic slide mount, or the lenses may be added after the plastic slide mount has been assembled. The lenses are held in place by a tongue and groove arrangement.

Abstract: A post plastic lens photographic slide mount made from a plastic slide mount includes a first and second plastic frame portions connected along an outer border with a pocket into which a photographic film slide can be inserted. A top plastic lens and a bottom plastic lens that can be introduced to the plastic slide mount. The plastic lenses can be added at the same time the photographic film slide is inserted into the plastic slide mount, or the lenses may be added after the plastic slide mount has been assembled. The lenses are held in place by a tongue and groove arrangement.

Abstract: A slide mount for a transparency has a generally rectangular and annular back frame formed with front and back faces terminating outwardly at four straight outer sides, a central window, an annular row of mounting studs projecting from the front face around the window inward of the outer sides so that perforations in the transparency fit over the studs with the slide spanned across the window, and an L-shaped lip extending along two of the outer sides and having an overhanging edge. The other two sides of the back frame are plain. A generally rectangular and annular front frame geometrically similar to the back frame is formed with front and back faces terminating outwardly at four outer sides, a central window, an annular row of recesses in the respective back face around the respective window inward of the respective outer sides, and an L-shaped lip extending along two of the respective outer sides and having an overhanging edge. The other two respective sides are plain.

Abstract: A trading card holder which can be used to hold all types of trading cards. The holder comprises a bottom plate, which is preferably transparent, provided with a stepped portion over which holders for the top, bottom, and sides of the card are attached. A raised portion in the center holds, and supports the cards to prevent any damage to the cards. A top plate, which is preferably transparent, overlies the bottom plate and a raised portion in the center which cooperates with the raised portion on the top plate to provide protection for the cards while not obscuring the cards.
