Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a bookmark assembly that indicates relative page direction and a line left off for a reader. The assembly includes a hollow sleeve member having a window and a slot, a marker configured to translate through the hollow sleeve member, and a line indicator configured to translate along the slot.

Abstract: A system for affixing a printed image onto a book cover, comprising a sleeve having a front surface, a back surface and four edges. The sleeve includes a front layer having a transparent window region surrounded by an opaque mask region and a back layer joined to the front layer along at least two of the edges, wherein the back layer is not joined to the front layer along at least one of the edges thereby providing at least one open edge adapted to receive the printed image. Adhesive strips having peelable coverings are affixed onto the back surface of the sleeve along at least two of the edges. The opaque mask region is adapted to cover the edges of the printed image, and the adhesive strips are adapted to affix the sleeve onto the book cover.

It comprises a case with a back (32) and a front door (31) coupled together so as to be able to have the case (30) take up an open state, in which the object (D) is not protected and can be inserted into or removed from the case (30), and a closed state, in which the object (D) is protected and can neither be inserted into nor removed from the case (30), in which the front door (31) is provided with a transparent front panel (48) through which the object (D) is visibilé from the front in the state with the case (30) closed. The window unit is characterized in that the back (32) is provided with a transparent rear panel (50) through which the object (D) is visibile from the rear in the state with the ease (30) closed.

Abstract: An album having a front cover or a picture frame for displaying at least one photograph comprises a back portion having at least four side edges where two of the side edges are a top edge and a bottom edge and two of the side edges are a left edge and a right edge and a frame having a straight edge on each of the four inside edges located on top of the back portion. A transparent sheet adapted to be located within the frame having dimensions which are equal to the inside dimensions of the frame and at least one edge which is half round with a radius of one half the thickness of the transparent sheet.

Abstract: A dual sided integral composite image product and method of make same. The image product includes a first support substrate having a separate image layer thereon and a second support substrate having separate image layer thereon. The second support substrate being secured to the first support substrate so as to form the dual sided integral composite image product. A fold line is provided on said image product about which the integral composite image product may be folded.

Abstract: A binder for papers, photographs, or other sheet-like materials is provided with a cover having one or more window openings defined therein. A flat, transparent protective sheet is located in contact with the inside surface of the binder cover and a backing sheet overlies the protective sheet. The backing sheet is secured to the peripheral margin of the protective sheet, and elsewhere as required, to delineate at least one, and preferably a plurality of pockets. The pockets are formed between the backing sheet and the protective sheet. An elongated slit in defined through the backing sheet behind each pocket created. The peripheral edges of the backing sheet are permanently secured to the inside surface of the binder cover. Photographs or other flat display materials may be inserted into the pockets formed between the backing sheet and the protective sheet through the elongated slits. The pockets are delineated so that they are aligned with the window opening in the cover.

Abstract: A book with improved binding includes a front cover page having at least one binding hole extending therethrough, a rear cover page having at least one binding hole extending therethrough and at least one center page having at least one binding hole extending therethrough which is positioned between the front and rear cover pages. Each of the front, rear and center pages are constructed of foam material and the invention includes at least one binding cord which extends through each of the binding holes of the front cover page, rear cover page and center pages for binding the pages to one another in book format.

Abstract: A two-sided image product is disclosed having an image bearing side and a non-image bearing side; printing a plurality of undetermined images on the image bearing side. The image product is made from a single piece of an image bearing media folded such that the first and second sides are adhered together in a substantially co-extensive manner. The first and second sides having a plurality of slits cut therein prior to folding of the page which are sized and positioned to receive at least one corner of a document thereby securing the document to the page.

Abstract: An apparatus or kit is described for creating a standard sized display from assorted memorabilia. The apparatus includes frames for displaying such standard sized display as well as components for creating a long-term storage and display container to receive the standard sized display without additional creative effort. Also claimed is the method for using the apparatus or kit to create a single standard sized display for viewing and later transfer directly into a long-term storage or display container.

Abstract: A shallow box binder cover is provided for a binder containing a plurality of pages. The cover has a stiff, opaque core through which a plurality of display openings are defined. These display openings are surrounded by the structure of the cover core. A separate transparent plastic blister or box is located in each of the display openings. Each transparent box has a raised interior bubble surrounded by a base having mounting flanges projecting laterally from opposite sides of the periphery of the base. These mounting flanges are held against the inside surface of the front cover core so that the raised interior bubbles project into the display openings and into close proximity to the outer surface of the cover core. A front cover liner is disposed across the bases of the boxes to define separate, hollow enclosed cavities within the interior portions of each of the bubbles. Selected three-dimensional objects are placed within the bubbles before the front cover liner is disposed across the bases of the boxes.

Abstract: A compact disc storage book is formed with board book pages having pockets therein to receive compact discs. The board book is comprised of folded, printed signatures adhered to one another. A hard cover is attached to and covers the pages to protect the pages and compact discs from damage or contamination. The board book has an expandable spine, which increases its size or thickness from its smaller empty size to its larger, filled size when filled with compact discs. In the preferred method of making this storage book, the signatures have been printed and slit to form the CD receiving pockets prior to being folded on a signature folding machine. The folded signatures are fed by feeders of a signature gathering machine in proper sequence onto a gathering conveyor. The signature gathering machine has a programmable glue applicator to form the glue pattern including the glue pattern for the accordion fold, expandable backbone for the book form.

Abstract: A folder having framed windows featuring a first panel, a second panel and a spine panel disposed between the covers. A pocket panel secured to the holder providing framed windows in substantial alignment with the front cover and the spine such that a sheet containing content information is insertable within the pocket and displayable over the front cover, spine or a combination thereof. A mounting sheet is insertable within the pocket for securing a sheet containing content identification. The mounting sheet has a plurality of fasteners adaptable for securing and displaying sheets for insertion into the pocket in multiple orientations. In the first orientation, the plurality of fasteners secures the sheet such that it extends over the front cover and is viewable only within the framed window of the front cover. In the second orientation, the fasteners secure the sheet such that it extends over both the front cover and the spine and is viewable within both framed windows.

Abstract: An album comprising a plurality of leaves each having a projection on one side and a matingly shaped recess on the opposed side, wherein the leaves are stacked on a base in which the projection of one leaf is aligned and registered with the recess of an adjacent leaf, the leaves are pressed with a platen in which adhesive paste is applied on the binding sides of the leaves and is removed after the adhesive paste is cured.

Abstract: A storage page for a three-ring binder or the like has a plurality of three-dimensional cavities for storing and displaying three-dimensional objects. The storage page is constructed of a clear plastic material sufficiently rigid to maintain its shape. In a preferred embodiment, the three-dimensional cavities are defined by raised sections in the front sheet of the storage page, the raised sections generally defined by a planar wall parallel to the front sheet, and one or more walls normal thereto to form a three-dimensional pocket. The back sheet of the storage page includes identically shaped and mating indentations that cooperate with the three-dimensional pockets of the front sheet of the storage page to define the three-dimensional cavity. An opaque matte may be sandwiched between the front and back sheets of the storage page, the matte being used for backing or contrast, and also in a writing surface for labeling and other indicia the contents of the individual three-dimensional cavities.

Abstract: A frontcover mountable with a photo for books is made of two layers of hard board, having an opening in an outer layer. A cover paper having an opening corresponding to the opening of the outer layer of the hard board is adhered on an outer surface of the outer layer, with one side unadhered to allow a photo inserted through a gap between the both to expose out of the opening. Its manufacturing method includes eight steps.
